VBA is an integral part of Excel. Search help for VBA, and you should be guided to the proper place. Please post back if you need more help, otherwise thank you for using and rating FixYa!

Trying to write a loop using excel text boxes such as: Dim x as integer for x= 0 to 100 textbox(x).backcolor=vbWhite x=x+1 next x Not working any thoughts thanks

You don't say how your program is not working, but one of the problems with your code is where you have x=x+1. Loops using For Next don't need a statement to add 1 to the value of x. The variable x will automatically be increased by 1 each time the program reaches the Next x statement. Your program should be
Dim x as integer: For x=0 to 100: textbox(x).backcolor=vbWhite: Next x
Have fun

STOCK REGISTER

Ur answer is simple.
Just keep a common database on internet for all stores & create website (ASP or PHP) or web based application(like Vb.Net or VB) much preferred.
.
so any sales occurs, it would be reflected across all stores,
so you can calculate total sales & remaining stock any any time and sort it or aggregiate it daily, weekly & montly..

Crystal reports in vb 6.0

The short answer is you can't do exactly what you have asked. There are many long answers. Here goes an overview. The data in VB is what you want to report on, that data is in a data base and Crystal Reports is the primo solution.
When you have it working CR and VB will be sharing the same data. VB crunches it and CR tells the world.
Get into CR design mode, for the fields in the reports tell it to use the db you have created and populated using VB .
All of the above is tough and unforgiving. I took a 2 day crash course on CR and left the training with nothing but two large manuals. VB has been my Nemesis for many years.

Mirosoft excel

Hello, Excel is only available with Microsoft Office. You'll need to purchase disk or download from Microsoft.com. If it is already installed and there is not a short cut in programs, Click start-search-(search for Excel). If installed it will show file to use. Hope this helps, Thanks

Writing macros

Anirbanmj

Macros for Excel and the rest of the office suite are based on Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) which is a subset of VB programming language.

If your not familier with this language then i would suggest "Googling" VBA Introduction or similar and have a look at some introductory info. If you are ok with VB then you can record doing a task you want to do and then look at the code generated to see what it has created.

Export data in excel shld yoeet through VB

When i first figured out how to pull data from SQL and put the results in an excel file i referenced these two articles....
Reading and writing excel file using VB.NET (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vb/Work_with_Excel__VBNET_.aspx)
Get the Values From DataBase and Stored into excell Sheet (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vb/Getvaluesfromdatabase.aspx)

This is the code i ended up using.... (check out those links to see how you need to import the ms office excel reference file with visual basic)

Const stcon As String = "Provider=SQLNCLI;server=xxxxx;database=xxxxx;uid=xxxxx;pwd=xxxxx;DataTypeCompatibility=80"
Dim stSQL As String = "select * from scs_rate_class_money where irate_book = 124 and snew_used = 'U' and sclass = '2' and splan = 'T4' and sopt_code = 'F1'"
Dim cnt As New ADODB.Connection
Dim rst As New ADODB.Recordset
Dim fld As ADODB.Field
'Open the connection.
cnt.Open(stcon)

'Open the recordset.
With rst
.CursorLocation = ADODB.CursorLocationEnum.adUseClient
.Open(stSQL, cnt, ADODB.CursorTypeEnum.adOpenForwardOnly, _
ADODB.LockTypeEnum.adLockReadOnly , _
ADODB.CommandTypeEnum.adCmdText)
.ActiveConnection = Nothing 'Disconnect the Recordset.
End With
'Close the connection
cnt.Close ()
Dim exp As Export = New Export()
Dim xlApp As New Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application
Dim xlWBook As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Workbook = xlApp.Workbooks.Add(Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.XlWBATemplate.xlWBATWorksheet )
Dim xlWSheet As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet = CType(xlWBook.Worksheets(1), Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet)
Dim xlRange As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Range = CType(xlWSheet, Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet).Range("A2")
Dim xlCalc As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.XlCalculation
Dim i As Short

'Turn off Excel's calculation.
With xlApp
xlCalc = .Calculation
.Calculation = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.XlCalculation.xlCalculationManual
End With
'Write the fieldnames.
For Each fld In rst.Fields
xlRange.Offset(0, i).Value = fld.Name
i = i + 1
Next
'Populate the range.
xlRange.Offset(1, 0).CopyFromRecordset(rst)
'Close the recordset.
rst.Close()
'Make Excel available to the user.
With xlApp
.Visible = True
.UserControl = True
'Restore the calculation mode.
.Calculation = xlCalc
End With
'Release variables from memory.
fld = Nothing
rst = Nothing
cnt = Nothing
xlRange = Nothing
xlWSheet = Nothing
xlWBook = Nothing
xlApp = Nothing
