1 Answer

Ran my pb4-60 dry. now it is noisey and leaks. I am aware that I burn't it up, my question is should I replace the whole thing or can I just purchace the pump (wet end) or try to rebuild the pump? I cannot seem to find the complete wet end without buying the entire pump.

If the leak is around the shaft by the pump housing you might try changing the seal. I belive they make a seal/impellar kit..

Propane smell with pilot on and burner ring/thermostat off. Pilot off no smell. Pilot light is good, burner ring burns cleanly. Logs correctly placed. No line leaks. Failed shutoff valve how to fix?

This is a major hazard, you need to take pictures of the whole thing and then disassemble the whole thing and use ptfe sealant and reassemble the whole thing. Unless you want to get a sniffer to locate the issue, If could also be the pilot pressure is too high and the pilot is not burning all the gas. You may want to call a pro due to explosion risk.

I ran my flotec sump/effuent pump dry, model 001D05S. Now it buzzes and doesn't pump. Can I fix it, if so how do I take it apart.

Unfortunatly if you ran it dry for very long it most likly burned out and will require replacement. Sorry. Thank you.

If the head has a slight leak which is getting into the motor, should I take out the motor or replace the head gasket?

If your head has a slight leak you're probably burning coolant and/or oil. With coolant burning the exhaust is a visible white color and smells 'sweet' too. Exhaust when oil is burning sometimes looks bluish. Smells like burning oil too.

Take out the motor? You mean fully replace the whole thing? No.

Why is the head gasket leaking? Did it overheat at some point? If so, then your problem is bigger than just a bad gasket. Milling (flattening) of the head is required and there might be other issues caused by the exhaust (oxygen sensors now might be fouled). Costs for milling and replacement might run around $1500, but this is just a guesstimate.

Good luck!

Leaking fuel tank at seam under tank

That is the easiest leak to fix. You have to get a can of POR brand, tank repair. Remove the tank, drain it, dry it, I think you have to wash it with soap and water, dry it again, they give you instructions, mix up the paint, pour into the tank, let it cover the whole bottom, sides, and seam, and top too, and make sure you don't clog up any lines or vents, wait for it to dry, you will have the nicest looking finish inside your tank, hard as a rock, and will never leak again. I did my rust bucket Harley, the whole tank, came out beautiful. Then my Ducati sprung a leak right where yours is, and I did the same thing. It works great. Try

if the rack is leaking then the only option to repair it is to replace it with a remanufactured rack.the noise is probably the power steering pump because it is low on fluid.

Hi. I spilled coffee on keyboard ACER 9410 laptop. Now a couple of the keys do not work and screen jumps when I hit some keys on right side of keyboard. Can I replace the keyboard to fix the problem and...

I did the same thing. Here's what I did:
Took whole thing apart. Cleaned any coffee with q-tips dipped in water / paper towels. Removed the keyboard. Ran it through the dishwasher with no soap in it and heated dryer off of course.
I let it dry for a day and was bummed that now the whole keyboard stopped working. Well then 4 days later to my surprise / delight.. the whole thing started working again. New keyboards on ebay were also very reasonable. But mine still works perfectly after the dishwasher cleaning.
