the default password can be looked up, and you can try that; many people don't change the password since you aren't required to, but it depends on the model #. If you give me that, I will look up the default password + directions on how to reset your router if needed.

There is a "Reset" switch on the back of the router. Use a paperclip or similar item to push the switch (with the router on) and hold it for 10 seconds, then release. The router will be reset to the factory default settings and you can set it up as if it was new.

Hope that's helpful.

My Netgear adsl router is not getting connected to Internet in pppOe mode ..

POPE configuration is logs into your ADSL system and connects to your ISP provider server to link , so one of the reason why it dosent is due to either password and username not correct. Log unto IP address of your Router and go to WAN configuration , Check your username and password and reset to the initial password and username your ISP provider gave you , when you signed up with them. Then apply changes , off your router for 1 min and then power it , then wait for the ADSL light on the router to be stable , connect to the IP address of your router again and "Volla" , it should be fine , if not , contact your ISP provider....

I want to use my netgear mr814 wireless router to connect to the internet but i cannot remember the password

which password you don't remember the Router or the Internet account?

if it's the router- you can reset it by clicking on the reset (very hard to find) button.
if it is the Internet password- just call your ISP and have them reset your password.
