Sir/mam..i bought an acer aspire4736z windows7 ready. im having problems with my microsoft programs,and my computer is installing some updates that always fail and i tried to uninstall some of those failed updates,which caused me to delete some important programs.this is the third time that i experience this kind of errors.please help me.thank you.

click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there
if you are have trouble with your webcam

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark?
right click to reinstall drivers or update driver xp

click start right click on computer select properties device manager scroll to image devices expand right click to update driver in W7




Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right.

But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date.
But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing.

Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10).

Hello sir, hi, you need the original driver CD that comes with your laptop. If not visit the acer website and download the driver, if your using windows 7, browse the acer website again for updates on the driver. if there are no drivers update yet, to get sound, buy a USB sound card. this usb unit most likely will have the windows7 driver. Or you can always go back to XP.

Sounds like the installer is damaged.

First, go to portableapps.com and download **** anti-virus and create a new download folder to extract it into - update it - boot to safe mode (press F8 when the computer is booting - just after the Acer screen) - scan the computer - scan also with an online scanner such as housecall (if possible).

You could try to go into safe mode with networking enabled and then try to run a Windows update.

But the best bet would be to download the update for SP2 here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/confirmation.aspx?familyid=049c9dbe-3b8e-4f30-8245-9e368d3cdb5a&displaylang=en and try to install it from that instead of a windows update.

Delete all temp & internet temp files and just check if any AV is scanning in the background. AVG / Kapersky / Mcafee do these background scans silently sometimes. Maybe that is slowing down the pc. Disconnect from lan and internet and try wkg on the pc

the problem is you have a virus..we think you need to re install the windows and theirs no other way to recover the windows/OS..but i have suggestion try this one..go to (start),(Programs),Accessories),(System Tolls),(System Restore) and make a choice what the date want to way back restoring windows..Good Luck sir/mam and have a nice day..
