Press the button on the dongle, then press and HOLD the power button on the board until it stays solid. had the same problem hope this works

From Activision website: Disconnect the wireless dongle from the usb port on the back of your Wii. After about 15 seconds the board should turn off and no lights should be illuminated.

If there's a way to sync it, then try resyncing it again and see what happens. If that doesn't work, it probably needs to be close to your Wii when you play it. Hope that helps.
