Try turning off your computer completely and then wait for 5 minutes. after the five minuets start your PC and then it should give some options like start normally or safe mode. Use the arrow keys to scroll down and press enter on Start windows normally.

You may try booting in safemode.

Follow the steps:

1. Turn the computer on or Restart the computer
* Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Boot Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
* Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected (the top option)
* Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

2. Do system restore. Follow the steps tp://support.microsoft.com/kb/948247. If it do the same thing go to 3.
3. Recovery.

Actually that error is an indication of some bad sectors on the Hard drive. There is still no guarantee that the recovery will work.

Toshiba equium l20-197 booting

Chances are that it is a driver problem, try booting in safe mode by pressing f8 during the initial bot up process and selecting safe mode, with or without networking, if your systems goes in to windows then you have a drive issue, as safe mode loads with only the basic drivers needed to run windows, hope that helps
