My TEXAS Instruments TI-83 plus just stuck , and whatever I push any bottoms. I try to take battery off and open it again and it still stuck .

Remove all four AAA batteries. Press and hold the ON key for fifteen seconds. Replace the batteries. Does the calculator turn on and respond properly?
If this fails, repeat the process using the DEL key instead of the ON key.

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

If this doesn't do it, please reply to this post and we can go from there.

I'm trying to find the fraction button on my texas instrument ti 83 plus calculator and cannot find it

There is no "fraction" button on the TI-83 plus. You will have to press the divide key (2 buttons below the CLEAR key) and then use the parentheses (immediately to the left of the divide key) to tell the calculator the correct order of operations. For example, "1/3x+9" means ".333333x+9", but "1/(3x)+9" means the "x" goes on the bottom of the fraction.

Ti-83 plus silver edition for overhead projector hook-up

You can try to put fresh Back-Up batteries into the calculator. If not, you can always call the customer support at Texas Instruments to see if you can get a replacement part for your calculator. This may resolve the problem you are currently having. Hope this helps.

My ti-83 plus has OS problem

That happened to me a few years ago - my friend tried to give me his operating system, and my calculator was all locked up like that for a while. There's some kind of reset code - pressing some buttons while putting a battery in - but it's been a while, so I don't remember which buttons.
