Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-36FV310 36" TV
Sony sometimes use a balance power supply, similar design to the Philips design from1978 but updated. A realy efficient and nice design but when it dies it takes out quite a lot.
There is a mains fuse that feeds the bridge rectifier which in turn feeds the power supply. If that is the fuse you are refering to, seek professional help. The circuit is finely ballanced and must be correct otherwise it will go bang again. If this is not the fuse then look for a short circuit on/off switch or filter capacitor network on the A/C side, before it gets to the main power supply.
Hope this helps.
