That was EHT flash over and corona discharge on the final anodes or EHT output splitter unit.
When it dries out it may recover but it will take a fair while! So long as it didn't arc over there should be no lasting damage.

Samsung HLR5667wx/xaa. Power surge took out tv. Replaced bulb and the bulb works, but tv wont come on and lamp light is flashing.

Hello, it sounds like the color wheel may have failed. Was there any noises, like a high pitch sound before it went out? If the color wheel isn't turning at proper speed, the set won't start up by shutting down the lamp protection circuit.

While watching tv we heard a pop and the receiver stopped working. Power button does nothing. We've opened it up but can't see anything that looks burnt or fried...

It could be a relay that burnt out, they usually dont show any signs of damage, or the motherboard could be fried too with no signs of damage eather! Hope this helps!

I have a ksrs25ftms01 refrigerator and freezer side by side. Lost power by hurricane. Connected to Coleman 1850 generator ran for 15 min heard tow loud pops frig not working but lights are on Ned help...

I am sorry for lost power. Now about your problem. If you used a whole house generator you should been fine. But anything else will fry the compter in control box. It is not too much money. The part is $110.02 from sears parts. You can order from sears and if needed send a tech. The part is located in fresh food section. Inside where the settings are. Just unplug the box, Take out cover, unplug the old board, Plug in new. You might look at it before you buy a new one just to see if you need anything else. Take a look see anything else burnt. The board number is FSP2321728. I hope this helps.

My vizio is three years old one day watching it and then off no picture no sound no led light is there a reset or a fuse

Had EXACT same thing happen this week. Same TV as yours, 3 yrs old (purchased Feb 2008, Costco). TV wouldn't turn on, and usually does a "click-click" when you insert the power cord and now nothing.

Solution - had to replace a single $1 fuse.

1) Put tv face down on a flat surface
2) remove legs
3) remove back (there's like 30 screws with 3 different sizes/threadings)
4) right where the power connects up to the big main brown circuit board, there's 2 fuses flanking the sides of a white clip.
5) I test the fuses and the one on the left blew out.
6) Fry's + $5 for 5-pack of Slow Blow 8amp 250v fuse = fixed TV.

I would bet that it's the same for you. A little labor, but much cheaper than a new tv or repair shop.

Note, the fuse is a litte hard to remove, just try to put something underneath it or maybe even pry it out with plyers. It's ceramic so pretty hard to break but still don't squeeze with the plyers too hard.

You'll need the 5mm x 20mm, ceramic, slow blow out 8amp 250v fuse. Radio Shack doesn't carry it. Fry's does. As I'm sure other places online will as well.

I moved my TV from my old house to my new house. Before it worked just fine at my old house, brought it to my new house and it just doesn't turn on! Tried different outlets, wires, etc.

Check the power at the plug point. Check the plug of the TV. If there is no life, then you will need to open the TV panel and check for a blown fuse, a circuit break while transporting, a loose connector within the set or a possible damaged SMPS>

Moved house and tv will not tune into inside

You could try a 15dB UHF amplifier that will usually feed upto 2 TV's they cost about £10-15 and usually have a pass through 240V plug and will work with the Sky Magic Eye.
