There will be a spring and a flat plate that has multiple holes in it, the trigger cable will hook into one of these holes. the easiest way to locate this is to look into the carb, and pull in the levers, when the fly inside the opening moves this is the one, but be careful there will be two and one is for the choke. the choke will have 2 to 3 position and will make kind of a click each time. you want the one that does not make a click or is the largest one.

The throttle link on the 55 does not go into a hole, rather just rests in a slot on the throttle plate on the carb. it routes on the right side as you are holding the saw. Choke routes on the left side.

How to hook up kick down linkage on 1965 ford v/8 automatic?

Well there's a kick down rod or linkage that runs from the carb linkage to the kick down arm on the trans. Once that is on there should be a little spring that holds the weight of the linkage off of the kick down arm on the trans. That spring is at the carb end. Once you have it hooked up you can drive it and adjust to desired kick down feel.

Chain saw won't keep running. runs and stalls

Hi there, Sounds like you need to change the fuel filter.Use a piece of tie wire with hook on one end and fish out the plastic tube with the fuel filter on the end. Hemostats can be used also.Use a turkey baster to **** the gas and trash out of the tank.then pour in a pack of BB'S cover hole and shake the saw. This will loosen any stuck trash and when you put some gas back in it will come out with the turkey baster. The next step is buy a spray can Berrymans carburetor cleaner (any carb cleaner will do.) I recommend saftey glass's for next step.Stick the carburetor cleaner nozzle straw in the tank tube and press the saw trigger like you were going to cut wood, spray cleaner and open and close saw trigger 4 or5 times. If you do this with the carburetor filter off, place a clean rag over the carburetor. When you think it's clean hold the trigger open until the cleaner dries and then install gas tank filter. Now spray carburetor and linkage on the outside.Install clean filter and cover. With new gas&oil mix in tank You should be set to go.If this is not the right solution please post again.Thank You for choosing FixYa.

Hi I have a yard machine 123cc ohv lawnmower.. model# 11a-08ma29. I'm finding it hard to remoce the carburetor due to its connection to a metal peice leading to the choke and another going up to the...

After you have unbolted the carburetor, you will need to take a picture of the linkage before disconnecting so as to get the hook up right, you are going to have to work the linkage loose. The end of the linkage is made of two 90 degree bends, rotate the bottom up towards you and it should come off.

I hope this helps you out.

I can't get the carb settings on my mac 3200 chainsaw to the right settings. It dies when i pull the trigger

The choke plate may be stuck closed or the spring may be week so that it shuts when the air is sucked down the throat of the carburetor.Remove the housing check what the choke plate is doing while the saw is off.The linkage could be messed up all so. I would wear at least eye protection if you try to start your saw like this in case of backfire. One other thing to check is the filter in the gas tank. You need to fish the flexible tubing and filter out of tank with a hook made out of wire.I would remove the and blow through the tube while holding the trigger.I hope something here solves your problem. GOOD LUCK!

How do I adjust the throttle cable on a C430 String Trimmer? When I depress the throttle cable, the linkage on the carburetor only moves about 1/16 inch and will barely turn the cutting head.

The throttle cables aren't adjustable. Make sure the other end is on the trigger correctly and that it is routed through the handle and the engine cover correctly. Also, make sure the throttle shaft and throttle plate (inside carb) are free and easy in their movement with the throttle cable off. The engine idle speed adjusting screw may be in too far also. Back it all the way out and then back in with the throttle closed Once the speed screw touches the throttle lever (what you hook cable into) on the shaft, give it about 2 turns in. This is about all you can do. If the cable is stretched badly (rare), it would need to be replaced.
