All songs vanished after plugging into Mac

I had songs on my Sansa m230. I usually use my PC to add/delete songs. Then yesterday I plugged the player into a mac and it said there were no songs there. After I unplugged the player I looked and all my music was gone. When I plug it into the PC even the music folder is gone. Nothing left at all. It is otherwise working fine. Any ideas what happened? Did it get reformatted or something?

WHo knows what the Mac may have done. Try changing the USB setting from Auto to MSC.

How can i get rid of the songs i dont want from my sandisk m230

Hi!
You can plug your player into the USB port on your computer. Once it is detected, you can browse it as a normal Mass Storage device. You should be able to see all music files from there and delete or add up more songs to the player.
Good luck!

How do i delete songs off my sansa m230 so i can add new music

Connect the Sansa to your computer using the supplied cable. Open up the operating system's explorer window. The Sansa will show as either a Sansa or a removable hard drive, depending on the USB mode. Either way, open it and you'll see a folder named "MUSIC". Open that. You can either delete entire albums or navigate into them and delete individual tracks.

Help

To free space on it all you have to do is delete a few songs.

To delete songs:
Plug it into your computer, launch Windows Media Player and click the "Sync" tab. A list of songs in the player will appear in folders on the right side of the screen. Expand the folder if you need to, then right-click on each song you want to remove from the player and click "Remove From Device". Hope this helps you

Sansa m230 delete specific song from the player

Your SanDisk Sansa does not allow you to delete files from within the player.
Instead I recommend that you follow the steps below to delete the music
You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer1.gif..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media, music1.gif and delete them from there.
Either under sync panel in your windows media1.gif player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
Hope this helps

P.S.Please rate accordingly...
Thank You
