I solved this problem my self. One thing you need to add to your your list is the shared file and flolder need to one word like Myvideo. One word less than 12 characturs. I found the file folder dose not have to on the desktop. It works both on the desktop or a shared flodder. I also reset my router with no firewall on. I should not be charge for this because I slove this problem my self and did not reply back to your response.

Hi.

I quote a comments from Microsoft Support:

"

This can occur if there is a folder permissions issue or some settings within the Blu Ray Player which might cause this. It could also be the security program blocking the share.

A few things you can try is creating a separate shared folder on the desktop rather than using the shared documents and then try accessing it from the player.

You can also try to disable your firewall and security program and then try accessing the shared folder.

Try turning off user account control and check.

You might also be able to resolve the problem by taking ownership of the folder.

To take ownership of a folder

1. Right-click the folder that you want to take ownership of, and then click Properties.

2. Click the Security tab, click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.

3. Click Edit. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

4. Click the name of the person you want to give ownership to.

5. If you want that person to be the owner of files and subfolders in this folder, select the Replace owner on sub containers and objects check box.

6. Click OK."

We are trying to connect to the internet wireless and it is giving us an error message code:52130 please advise?

This error is caused by a wireless router firewall issue.

To solve this error, try to manually setup the Wii console using your network IP settings.

To do a manual setup of the Wii console using your network IP settings :

  • On a PC, click Start > Run > type CMD and press Enter > type IPCONFIG/ALL and press Enter. On Windows Vista, click Start > type CMD in the Start Search box > click on CMD icon > type IPCONFIG/ALL and press Enter.
  • Locate IP settings and use them to manually set the Wii console.
  • Restart your wireless router by unpluging the power from the wall and plugging it back in. Try to connect the Wii console to the internet.

You may also try to disable the wireless router security or firewall. Try again to connect the Wii console to the internet.

I have a wireless-g router linksys with an older firmware dated in 2006 and i just recently bought a linksys wireless adapter for our new desktop pc that has windows 7 installed. i went through most steps...

The operating system on your computer is Windows 7 and the adapter is WUSB54GC. You are getting the Error 211 that means the drivers are not installed properly.
Though you have the CD of the adapter, you will need to download the drivers for the adapter from the web site.
Go to www.linksys.com/download , enter the model number of the adapter. select the proper version of the adapter. download the drivers for windows 7.
Now try to install the downloaded drivers. It will work.

Problem with WIndows 7 and DI-524 router

You need to consider the router as being the destination and your PC's the source. This means your computer connects to the internet via your router. The router contiually broadcasts its SSID (network name) and when it receives a query from a device checks to see if the device is set to the same SSID. The network created by the router should be detected by your PC's. which displays the detaiuls on your screen. All you need to do is to selct your network from those displayed and click"connect". You will be asked to supply your WEP (network key) and you're connected. The same goes for any other device you may wish to connect, including iPhones and game consoles.

I can't get our Samsung Blu-ray player(Model BD-P3600) with wi-fi to connect to my computer router. I'm trying to connect with Netflix for video streaming through the player. I keep getting a message from...

I am not an expert a "tinkerer"at best but I do have the 3600 like you and I have no problems connecting. Make sure there aren't any spaces or special characters in you router name. Follow your instruction manual and get the 3600 connected first then try netflix: Menu, setup, network, set your settings and it will tell you available networks, choose yours, enter your security code then do a connection test. If its not connecting at what step are you having a problem?

I have a trendnet wireless router tew 432brp, a new hp windows 7 laptop, and old xp laptop and i want to share the connection with my verizon um175 aircard. this has worked for several years with the old...

The router connects computers together . You are using a windows 7 p.c and connecting it to an internet connection via a usb verizon um175 aircard.
I think you need to share the internet connection with the rest of the network and may need to feed the ethernet cable into the feed port of the router. I have not done this before but logically the windows 7 computer would have to act as a gateway to the internet.

http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-7/how-to-share-an-internet-connection-in-windows-7/

https://www.ibvpn.com/billing/knowledgebase/53/Internet-Connection-Sharing-on-Windows-7.html

Note the default gateway is going to have to be the windows 7 ip address on the other computers
You may need to set the ip address on windows 7 to a static address and then change the dhcp server settings default gateway and also increase the first address to not include the windows 7 ip address or the routers ip address in the lease range for shcp.

I purchased a Blu-Ray BP-3600 and I am having a gateway ping problem

Most newer Blu-Ray players have an ethernet connection in order to receive software updates. I assume you have a router or switch in order to connect other devices to your home network, besides your PC. If not, you need to buy/rent/borrow/steal one.
The default action when the unit is turned on is to check for software updates, and although you don't specify where you see this message displayed, my suggestion to you is that you need to ensure that the device is connected to your home network, and that your router's DHCP server settings are turned to ENABLED, ie: your router will assign a new IP address to any new device that it's connected to it.
Good luck!

Lost CD

To get my connection to work, I had to configure my Netopia DSL modem for Bridged Mode and let my router take care of the routing and address assignment. I would also try to get a working connection before configuring security. You can always do that later. You have the order of powering up you equipment correct. Read this link. It works for me.

Unable to download system upgrade version 2.60

I was able to connect fine for a month before the 1.50 update and then things got really wierd. I have gone through entire days unable to connect to the network and entire days able to connect. Meanwhile I had full use of the PS3 internet browser and no other computer or internet issues. I can currently confirm that if I return my PS3 internet settings the original "automatic" settings I will not be able to connect, with these DNS settings in the PS3 I have no problems. I have cable internet access through Adelphia with a Linksys WRT54GS router communicating wirelessly with my PS3... GOOD LUCK!
The information I used to create this fix contained a link that has provided us with router specific DNS information to be used if the numbers provided do not work. http://www.opendns.com/start/at_home.php
Now, a day later, I am able to connect with the original automatic settings for everything including DNS. I must also point out that the network performance is much faster using the automatic settings and recommend using alternate DNS settings only when neccessary.

All I can say for those still having problems is reboot EVERYTHING. Your router, modem, PS3 and any other device that may be connected to your network.

If you still have problems try connecting the ps3 directly to your modem not through the router...
