Go to the Solutions center and click on maintanance. That should give you a page that has a "Clean Nozzles"button,. Click on that and the machine should run the trest. Run again if the test page still comes out with patchie printing.

Replaced ink cartridge- still not printing! help

When the printer is not indicating you need to replace a cartridge, and it is not printing good, most of the time the print head is clogged. Run the head cleaning program several times and if that still not works, remove the cartridge and put a drop of clean water or printer cleaning fluid fall in the nozzle, you see down where the cartridge was seated.
Then print a few pages, with the colour that would not print and continue till you see the colour come back again.
switch a ink jet printer on at least once a week. During startup the printer will perform a cleaning cycle. After a few minutes you can switch of the printer. This could keep the front heads clean for a long time.

No printing, poor pringint. Clean heads does not help. What can I do?

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

My canon PIXMA iP 4000 does'nt write out the colours, only black.

Use the Canon software to check the ink-levels in the COLOUR cartridge. If empty, replace it.

Use the Canon software to run a few "print-head-cleaning" cycles, to unclog any ink-jets that are not spraying ink onto the paper.

Try printing a light stripes test page (Troubleshooting, print quality problems, troubleshooting print quality page).
If you have loads of missing jets, run a couple of head cleans, if you see improvement, it is worth running some more, if not, try switching off overnight and rebooting next day. If it still won't clear, you may have a faulty printhead.
If you do not appear to have many missing jets but the colours are all just wrong it may be that the ink has gone stale. Run a couple of head cleans and you should see the colours start to improve. If it is getting better, all you can do is keep running head cleans until you have replenished all the ink in the printhead well.
Hope this helps.

Try printing a light stripes test page (Troubleshooting, print quality problems, troubleshooting print quality page).

If you do not appear to have many missing jets but the colours are all just wrong it may be that the ink has gone stale. Run a couple of head cleans and you should see the colours start to improve. If it is getting better, all you can do is keep running head cleans until you have replenished all the ink in the printhead well.

This problem is common in situations where a lot of black and white printing is done, with very little colour.
Alternatively, it could be that your wiper/cleaning blade is not cleaning the head properly and is smearing the different coloured inks across the head, or possibly that your printhead is leaking colours but I think the first solution should solve your problem.
Hope this helps.

Color ink cartridge show a full ink supply, but it won't print color.

It's possible that the ink-jets that spray the colour ink onto the paper have become clogged. Run the printer software, and select a "print-head-cleaning-cycle", to try to unclog those jets.

CARTRIDGE PROBLEM TRI COLOR WONT PRINT

HTML clipboardHi
If your printer has been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog and the standard cleaning is not enough to clear the clogged ink.

Assuming your tri colour still has ink? (Empty they are about 30g Each 1g over that is 1ml of unused ink.)

Provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
Magic Inkjet Flush usually works a treat on those!

Magic is ideal for unclogging the tiny jets on any Canon, Epson HP and removing those horrible white lines which usually appear in prints when dried ink clogs several jets...

So if yours appears to be a clog? all you should need to do is to use a little Magic Inkjet Flush to soak the print head and you should be printing again like new.

I have an Epson Stylus CX5500, i currently replaced the cartridge with Miro Jet cartridge which is compatible with this tpye of printer. i started printing and the colours come ut incorrect. Also how do...

You can clean the heads with software function.
Open epson print center maintenance clean head. Or Right click on printer icon on task bar, Select clean head.

Even though the Miro cartridge is compatible the ink color, texture, drying time, is different. Resulting in colors coming out wrong. Try going to Miro jets site & download printer driver or color correction file for your printer. Most provide them.

Good Luck!
