The air pressure is not correct on either units.the photo cell DOES NOT look for light any more,it count the light flashes.if the flame is not in the right possition the heater will shut down....after the unit ignites the ignitor is no longer used to keep the unit working, just the fuel that is being fed to the flame ball.that's why the pressure is so inportant.......

May be the primary control if you already replaced the photocell. Make sure the photocell is in direct line of sight with the flame.

All pro 60,000 kerosene heater wont start, igniter lights then cuts off. i cleaned fuel filter and air filter. and burner .. i dont know how to check or clean the photo cell.. any help

If you can get to the photocell, make sure that it is clean. To test it you need an ohm meter. Hook the meter to it and set the meter to read Kohm.. See what it says, then shine a light on it and see if the meter reading changes. IT should drop. If it does not, or the reading is really high, replace the photocell.

Reddy Heater kerosene 110,000 btu . plup it in, fan runs, blows smoke out the front, leaks kerosene also from front, i have cleaned photo cell, replaced plug, cleaned filter and checked lines for cracks,...

Just because there is fuel & spark does not necessarily mean there will be combustion. The fuel must be delivered at the correct pressure, the correct volume, and must be delivered as a fog- not a mist.

My suggestions:
  1. set the pump pressure
  2. be sure the fuel filter is clean
  3. be sure no air leaks or vacuum leaks
  4. Desa recommended annual replacement of the nozzle. They wear out. When was the last time yours was changed?

R100 reddy heater, low pressure forced air heater. the heater ignites, motor runs for 30 seconds then shuts down. photo cell good, filters clean, no ignition board, pump pressure unknown.

The R100 is a kerosene heater and the RLP100 is a propane heater so I am not sure when one you have.
If it is kerosene then you may need to check the pump pressure. Also the Safety swith can give you a cut out after 30 seconds.

If the unit is Propane then you could have a bad control board or a flame sensor.

You can call our service department at 1-800-475-5660

Thanks

Runs only couple minutes and quits . Have cleaned filters but problem persists.

It is most likely the Photo Cell. Its job is to "detect" a flame and if it is bad then it will cut the unit off so fuel doesn't continue to spray out. I also found a great web site for parts for all these models as well: http://www.bealsmotor.com/

Laser toyostove will not ignite

Zen,

When you ran out of fuel the filter trapped some air in the very top. You need to loosen the fitting on the fuel line right at the filter and let the fuel run of a minute. This will clear the air from the top. On the way out to the filter unplug the stove. Leave it unplugged for 20 minutes. This will clear the EE22 message. Now you can restart your stove.
