Hello,

Have you made sure that the ground clamp is on good clean metal? Even if the original contact is not a good cround, the moment the wire hits the steel ( must be clean also), the ground will spark, and complete the cicuit.

Hope this helps.

How do you hot wire the coil on a 1999 chevy ws10 zr2 4.3 v6?

not possible without a device that pulses the coil on and off, unless you mean you just want to test it? I am confusing cars but most cars now have a dual feeding system or coil over each combustion chamber. You can feed a coil 12v and once you release the gound it will fire but, the coil needs to be attached to a spark plug and the sparkplug needs to be touching a ground source to watch the spark occur after the release of ground.

Car wont start no spark at plugs

if distributor model check coil feed to distributot for spark this is done by grounding the coil wire. if coil module feed then check power to coil module if no power then your problem is outside the engine area in the ingition or fuses ect many possibilities

I have a Hobart handler 120/90amp wire feed welder. When i try to weld, all i get is a small spark.I turn it off, turn it on and it does it again. The wire feed works good,it just sparks, but will not keep...

I have welded countless hours with Linde & Lincoln & even a few Hobarts & the only time that I ever had the same problem was when the ground connection either to the object I was welding, or the welding cable ground wasn't good & clean & tight. Same on stick welders also. I did develop the habit of grinding not only where I was preparing to weld, but where I was placing my ground clamp & that always provided a better "frying bacon" sound as I went along the business of pushing a bead. In a welder, the only other thing than that is involved is the step-up transformer and your wire. Hope this helps.

No arc/ no burn

You need to inspect the ground.Where it connects to the machine, and at the end. I bet one of the connections or the wire itself is damaged.

My sp100 works, but very poor almost no spark.

MAke sure you have a good grond and a good connection between the welder and the ground cable and the ground cable and the clamp, Check the wire feed speed. Try turning the wire feed speed down. Make sure you have it on the right heat setting.

1991 Honda Civic No Spark

Excessive resistance in the wire (including breaks or shorts) or the fault is not the wire itself but what feeds that wire its power.Have you run a seperate wire from the battery to feed power to that wire yourself.?Does the car start if you do?
