Dewalt circular saw runs like power lacking intermit ant

The armature is bad. A new armature is about the same cost as a new saw. Buy a Milwaukee next time.

Need a set of Brushes for a Craftsman circular saw model 315.27802 I tried Sears Parts and they are no longer available. Bill

Try anyplace that handles electric motor repair or tool repair. Most brushes are standard and probably a set from a black and decker saw will fit

Need substitute switch part for sears saw

Sorry , but go buy a new saw. Your not going to find an aftermarket
dealer that carries this switch.

Trying to rig some other switch is not worth the trouble over buying a new one. If the switch is not available, then the saw is old.

My aeg cs725 circular saw has broken the brass tab on the connection to a commutator brush where (in Brisbane) can I obtain such an item ?

You can search brush repair for motors on the net, dont know any good ones off the top of my head, but google should bring you to some good one, other wise most hardware stores will carry brushes.

I have a 7 1/4 milwaukee circular saw.It won't start up.I've replaced brushes but won't start.What could be the problem?

Could be quite a few, what is the model number. Do you have a volt ohms meter, if so check the cord first (UNPLUG) and across the switch then lock the switch on and check the brush holder leads. If you loose continuity anywhere in this process that is probably the problem. What did the brushes look like, did the mating surface look smooth or burnt. Let me know and I will try and help also give me the model number and brand, the header has 2 listed.

Boken shaft of old Craftsman skill saw

I have repaired many craftsman circular saws over the years and find that they share some parts with other brands. When sears drops a model number you must try to discover who made it for them. You did not list a model number, however when I need to identify a saw w/o the number I look at old part breakdowns and look on ebay for similar looking saws. Try and identify which manufacture made it for sears. Many were made by skill over the years so I start there. Once I find a good match, I check for available new parts. If not available, I check pawn shops and small tool repair shops for used parts, even burned out armature then have it rewound at If you value your old saw take the extra time to look around, if not buy a good used saw at a pawn shop. I prefer Makita or Milwaukee good used about 40-70$; good used craftsman 20-30$, take a good look at the armature commutator and check that the arbor bearing is tight. Good Luck and email if you have questions.
