If there is security make sure the security type matches. Usually this is a security type or password problem. To test, set the security type of the router to NONE and see if you can connect.

You can't log onto the network until the wifi connects, so figure out that and you can log on as usual.

Why does my tablet keep saying authentication problem when trying to connect to wifi???

Is this an older tablet by any chance? Some wifi cards on older tablets will not support newer security protocols like WPA-PSK without a software update. An authentication problem can also be caused by mis-typing the key or passphrase for your network, or by having chosen the wrong type of security protocol when asked to join a network. Try deleting the network connection you have already tried, and then rebooting your tablet and let it discover the network again. Make sure you pick the right type of network security protocol for the connection when you try to connect and recheck the key/passphrase after you type it before hitting 'connect'.

No network

Make sure that the phone's WiFi feature is switched on. Check the WiFi settings to make sure that the phone is picking up your WiFi router. If required, re-enter the WiFi password.

Are they password protected networks you are trying to connect to? If security is set on these networks, you will have to be granted access to them by their owners.

My ipod touch gets connected to a wifi network, and still each time i open safari, it sez ''Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet.'' .. Now my ipod is brand new, i have...

Step 1: Find out which is YOUR WiFi network. People who live in cities and such can pick up their neighbor's WiFi connection. Make sure you pick your own by going to your computer, and click on the internet icon on your taskbar (where they show the time). This will show your network's name. Go to your iPod and choose it.
Step 2: If your network has no lock symbol next to it, wait for a few minutes and a check will show next to your network once it is connected - you should be able to go on the web now. If your network has a lock symbol on it, tap it and enter the correct password. Once the correct password is entered, wait for a minute and your iPod should be connected to the network - you should then be able to go on the web.

I can't start my wifi network connection

I cant tell if its your computer that wont pick it up or your router that the wifi wont start. there is sometimes a button that can turn the wifi on or off.and if it is that your computer can't find it check to make sure that your computer is comppadable with that kind of router. also go to control panel and look for networking or connect to a network something of that nature. and select wireless a bunch of wireless networks should appear choose yours. also if your router came with an install disc use that. also the manual can provide additional assistance.

Every time i try to connect to my wifi network on my psp it wont connect

1. Turn the WLAN switch on the PSP to "on" (it's a silver slider switch on the lower left *edge* of the device)
2. Access to a wireless Internet network that doesn't have a password.
Then you should be able to 'scan' for networks, pick out the one you want to use, and go online.
[Note: While the PSP supports various wifi password schemes, notably WEP, I haven't had any luck with password-protected sites myself and haven't heard from others that it worked either]
