Battery My ppc 6800 is not charging. The led light is flashing amber and it does not talk about that in my user manual. Is my battery junk or is it in the phone? Thanks Kristi

Your pins may not be allowing your battery to hold on to a charge. you may need to remove it and clean it with alcohol, due to oxidation of the exposed metal.

What does blinking orange light on the phone mean?

Solid amber light when the battery is being charged.
Flashing amber light when the remaining battery level reaches below 10% htc has had some problems with batteries, when charging, if you are getting the flashing amber light feel the back of the phone. if it is feeling hot you may have a bad battery. hope this helps.

HTC 6800 gets hot and runs out battery

Make sure you don't have unwanted programs running by going into start> settings> task manager, also turn the wifi switch on the side of the phone to off. Wifi will burn up the battery fast.

My Phone won't Turn On

bring it in to your cell providers nearest store, they should be able to test with a different battery. It sounds like your battery has gone bad.

My question would be, what are you using to charge it? The USB cable or the wall adapter? In any regard I had a similar issue with my 6800 and the solution, use the charge base to charge just your battery, or figure out if there is some debris in the charge port. My personal solution was to just clean out the port and get rid of pocket lint and other debris, but until I figured out that that could have been the problem, I just used the base. Hope that helped.
