Please provide more detail. Does this apply to all colours or just one? If no ink at all comes out (black, cyan, magenta, yellow), did they all stop at once, or was the deterioration gradual. Have you tried a head cleaning cycle and nozzle check print? If so what was the result? Have you tried changing the cartridges? A response to these question will permit me to give you much more specific help.

Power button and tear drop button contstantlt flashing

This usually means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. You can restore your printer to a working condition immediately by using the SSC utility - download from:

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom right corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type, then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the sytem tray and choose Protection Counter. Check the current count value - if it is greater than the limit shown it will confirm this is your problem. Then choose reset to set it to zero. You will need to fib about having changed the waste ink pads! Turn the printer off then back on again. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.

However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer.

If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, report back and I will provide further help. It is not too difficult once someone explains how to get the case apart!

If both lights are flashing, it may mean the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. You can check this and restore your printer to a working condition immediately by using the SSC utility - download from:

If none of this stops the two red lights flashing, you will need to have a technician check your printer - it may well mean the main board has failed.

Sounds like you knocked the vacuum pipe off at the pump cap when you had it apart. Take it apart again and check the vacuum pipe for connection, blockages and being trapped between cases when you reassembled it.

Hi Alan

I expect by now you've solved this problem - but just in case .....

The waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit and needs resetting. You can do this easily by using the SSC utility - download from:

Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom right corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type (810), then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the sytem tray and choose Protection Counter. You should see that the current count is above the limit; then choose reset to set it to zero. Turn the printer off then back on again. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.
