Depending on the age of the motor you should have a 'quick change' switch of some type you simply rearrange for the 240V setting. If not I assume you have an old motor with a brown and white wire from inside the stator positioned on posts L1 and B if memory serves correctly. White will be on the L post and Brown on one of the two lettered posts. Move brown to the other lettered post and put white where brown was if you have these leads.

If you do have a plug or rotary switch, reposition it for 240VAC and your done. In any of these settings you still leave your two incoming line leads, one each, on L1 and L2.

You need a stepdown transformer from 240 volts to 110 volts AC.
Make sure you get one that has the required wattage you require.

Need wiring diagram for AO Smith Motor. Model # K48K2PA105. Label gone. Not sure if its ready for 120 or 240. Any help appreciated

Remove the rear cover and take a look. Unless this is a very old motor, there will be an indicator on the tab that will tell you the information you seek.

Normally ... let me say again, normally, a larger motor will come default 220 while a fractional hp motor will be 110.

To be double sure, take your motor to your Professional Pool shop and ask them to have a look.

Pump runs for about 15 secs then cuts off.

try testing the starting capacitor by first disconnecting the power, opening the cover on the end of the motor, and test the resistance of the capacitor
