Question about Bosch HBL 455 Stainless Steel Electric Double Oven

2 Answers

Bosch HBL755A . Time on display continally blinks and display says, "unlocking door." Buttons for upper and lower ovens and all other buttons on display do not work. We had an electrical outage and this is a result. Playing with the circuit breakers does not help.

I responded, in detail to FixYa.com. Please look at my comments and tell me what you think. Shutting off the circuit breakers or holding down buttons won't help. Thank you

Now, Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker and wait for more then 5 minutes and then turn breaker back on.this will reset the oven.this is the only way to reset.but if you have tried this same procedure and this did not help, then it might be the problem with door switch or door assembly.
it got burn't and due to this the door latch is stuck and its not releasing the door and so, unlocking door message comes up.

you may also try to hold down the "Cooking Mode" button for 5 seconds.. and see if error clears. otherwise, proceed with above solution.

did you read this "if you have tried this same procedure and this did not

a tech may be needed to sort this door latch issue and definitely some parts.

A lot of times just turning the breaker off and back on will not solve the problem. Sometimes if you leave the breaker off for 30 minutes or so, to let all of the capacitors to discharge will help. But not always. But sometimes that won't even work. You should be able to hold the cancel button for 15-20 seconds and it should clear.

None of the buttons on the BOSCH over are working to even hold down the cancel key. Unlocking doors are displayed.

There are adjustment screws or bolts on the hinge attachments to the oven. Loosen them and adjust the door using wedges to hold the door in place.

Used the self cleaning cycle 24 hrs. ago, but the oven door will not unlock. We tried to run it through another clean cycle but we recieve an E1 error.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
you may have done a panel lock, so try the first solution.

To Lock/Unlock Control: Before locking, make sure the ovens, Timer and Timed Cooking are off. Press and hold START/ENTER until a single tone sounds and "Loc," a picture of a lock and "START?" will appear on the oven display, about 5 seconds. Repeat to unlock and remove "Loc" from display.

To Stop Self-Clean any time:
Press UPPER OFF, LOWER OFF or OFF/CANCEL. If the oven temperature is too high, the door will remain locked. It will not unlock until the oven cools.

My oven is in lock mode after i had cleaned it. I can't open it now and the lock light is on.

Control panel and oven door lock
The oven door and controls can be locked to avoid unintended use of the oven. The oven doors and controls cannot be locked if the oven is in use, or the oven temperature is 400°F (205°C) or above. The current time of day will remain in the display when the controls and oven doors are locked.
To lock the control panel and both oven doors:
  1. Press and release Cancel.
  2. Press and hold upper oven Cancel and Cook & Hold for 3 seconds. “Off” appears in the display and “Lock” flashes while the controls and oven doors lock. Both oven doors lock. “Lock” remains lit in the display.
To unlock the control panel and both oven doors:
  1. Press and hold upper oven Cancel and Cook & Hold for 3 seconds. “Off” disappears from the display and “Lock” flashes while the controls and oven doors unlock.

Oven wont work after self clean

I have a Whirlpool MOD. RBS275PDB17 single electric self-cleaning oven; although the manual is generic, it specifies, "When the cycle is completed and the oven cools, "End" will appear on the lower oven display and "LOCKED' will disappear" and "To Stop Self-Clean any time: Press UPPER/OFF, LOWER/OFF or OFF/CANCEL. If the oven temperature is too high, the door will remain locked. It will not unlock until the oven cools." Has your oven had time to cool?
