It depends on what software you use to display pictures

Let me know what software you are using to display and edit pictures.
If your picture viewer (eg photoshop, fotopaint, paint shop pro etc.)is not working properly you can reinstall it from disk, if you have the disk, or you can download and install

ACDSee Photo Software that is free for home use.

Let me know what system (windows xp, Vista, MAC?) you are using and what software is popping up to visualize pictures, and I can provide further help.
    Eventually install

    ACDSee Photo Software
from the link provided above, and see if this can fix the problem.

Reinstall Kodak easyshare software from disk, this should fix the problem.

If you reinstall from disk you will not lose any data, it will just reinstall the software.

It means all your pictures will stay in same folder where they are now.

Hi,

  • Start EASYSHARE Software.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > About Kodak EasyShare software.

  • Note the software version. If you have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, review the help information for Transfer Pictures.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > Kodak EasyShare Help. When the Welcome to EasyShare Software window appears, select Transfer pictures, then read the help information.

  • If you do not have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, go to EASYSHARE Software Downloads, then follow the instructions to download the latest version of software. Approximate download time is 5 minutes for Cable/DSL, or 2 hours for a dial-up connection.

If that doesn't solve your problem you can manually add your pictures/videos to easyshare software.
  • In easyshare Software, select My Collection, then select Add Pictures. The Add Pictures screen appears.Look at the Select a location field. If the My Files folder is collapsed, click the + to open the folder. In the Select a location field, select your camera folder, for example: M381 Digital Camera. Thumbnails of the pictures/videos on your camera internal memory, and on a memory card if one is in your camera, appear.

  • Select the pictures/videos to add to EASY SHARE Software, then click Add Pictures. To add all the pictures/videos in the folder, click Add Entire Folder.Click Done.

Thank you

Camera Kodak EasyShare C140 was tested in a Kodak representant and worked OK including the transference of photos to the computer however when trying doing the same at home I receive an advice "ESApp.dll...

Last options that you can do is to reinstall the Software.
First check the compatability of Easyshare, Right Click the icon on your desktop and click compatability tab, then remove all check marks under that tab.

Remove the Easyshare Software from the Control Panel, Add Remove programs

Then Run the clear utility software from the web at this site
www.kodak.com/go/clear
After that restart the PC

Then try reintalling the software from the web
www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw

Make sure that there are no other devices connected to your PC while installing the software, including printers and Scanner.

Downloading photos

If you are using Windows XP unplug your camera from your PC and uninstall the Kodak software. You don't need it to transfer photos to your PC. The next time you connect your camera (turn the camera on) to your computer it should recognize it and you can use Windows built in transfer software. Transfer folder(s) of pictures from my Kodak EasyShare program to 'My Pictures'on my computer. having problem with 'Burn cd/dvd' application on EasyShare software.

you're not trying to burn the pictures to your 'MyPictures' thing.

close that and go get the EasyShare disc, your EasyShare Kodak camera (i hope) and your transfer cord

Plug your transfer cable into the camera from the small end, and the large end into the USB port of your computer. This allows the computer to recognize the camera and begin building adapters for it.

Insert the disk for the Kodak Easy Share program into your disk drive. Go to your "Start" button and hit "Run." This will bring up a window allowing you to choose the letter of your disk drive to find the file to run. Your computer may have Autorun, so it is possible you do not have to follow this step. If you do not have Autorun, click on the letter of your drive and choose the "Easyshare.exe" file when it populates. Then hit "Run" on the bottom of the window to continue.

Click on "Next" on your Install Wizard when it begins. This sets up the program to be used if you do not already have it on your computer. Click "Next" on all following boxes, as this gives you the basic set up and files needed to run the program.

Wait for the program to begin. Once it has populated the window with a gray Kodak Easy Share block at the top of the window, you are ready to begin. Click on "Add Pictures" on the top left corner of the window. A new window will generate. Go down to the last half of the window on the left and click on the Kodak Easy Share file. This is where your pictures are being taken directly from your camera, which is the drive or USB port it is connected to.

Choose on the next box the folder you wish to save your pictures under. You can opt to leave it in the Easy Share folder, or to rename the folder for the type of pictures you are uploading. If you have wedding pictures, you could right click on the folder and hit "Rename." Then type in "Wedding Pictures" and click anywhere on the screen. This will save your folder name.

Delete the pictures from the camera after they upload is an option you can choose to click on if you want your camera erased when the pictures are done. If you want this, click the box next to the "Delete From Camera" option under the folder name area. When you are ready to upload, click "Done" in the bottom left corner of the window. Now you have uploaded your pictures to your computer and cleared your camera.
