Hi My Nikon D5100 camera giving a sin of Autoexposure error. Contact a Nikon authorized representative message after it's drooped from my tripod on the deck floor (Wooden Floor). The Nikon55-300mm

There is no way to really answer this question as the camera was dropped. If it was dropped with the lens, then the problem could be either in the body or the lens (or both). If you have another lens try it and see if you get the same result. Otherwise you are probably going to have to take it to the shop or send it to Nikon

I dropped my new Nikon Action 8x40 on the carpet, still it did chip an inner lens because you can look in the end and see chipped glass inside :( How can I repair it?

If you can see broken lens glass, you have a major problem.
Check to see if you can still use them normally as any other
binoculars. If you can, you can ignore the glass chips.
If they obscure the image, or blur the image, or interfere with
focussing, you will have to get the binoculars repaired. It may
be cheaper, if the binoculars are out of the warranty period, to
just go ahead and buy another pair.

I can't focus the binos anymore looking through both lenses at the same time, it's distorted

You have asked about what is one of the most common binocular problems. I hope that you don't mind if I paste my generic answer below as there's no point in reinventing the wheel. If the answer does not provide a solution then please state your exact Nikon Action model and add any extra details which may help.

Your binoculars either have a bent or broken yoke assembly (the bit which carries the eyepieces) or one or more prisms have came unseated.

The first repair involves replacing the entire yoke assembly: the part is expensive in comparison to the retail cost of a new pair of binoculars and with labour charges on top is not usually a cost-effective repair except on really high end expensive models and you can buy a brand new pair of Nikon Action binoculars for less than GBP£90.

The second repair is straightforward and fairly quick for anyone with the right collimation equipment, but the screw(s) need to be secured with thread-locking liquid afterwards.

I hope you manage to use this information to fix your binoculars or at least that it assists you to choose your next course of action. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you and any testimonial which you might wish to add is always welcome!

Laptop will not work

Believe it or not Laptops are very sensitive. The processors, motherboard etc. are only protected by a thin plastic covering. Your best bet is to call the brand laptop you have. (HP,Dell, Toshiba etc.) And send it in, will cost money, but if you don't wanna pay hundreds of dollars for a new one. I'd recommend sending it in.

Best of luck!

Specifically, what do I need to do to fix double vision in my 10-x25 Cabela's wide angle binos? I believe they were dropped.

If they are expensive binocs I would take them to a camera shop for a repair estimate. If they are somewhat inexpensive I would just replace them. They might be bent or the prisim damaged or an internal lens that has came loose.

Sorry, wish the news was better.

My Canon Powershot SD400 won't turn on and lense won't go back in

Unfortunately the lens assemblies in these compact digital cameras are quite delicate. The drop probably knocked the barrels of the lens out of alignment preventing it from moving. You can try to GENTLY twist the lens back and forth, you may be able to click it back into alignment allowing it to function normally. If the gentle manipulation fails to fix the problem you will need to get the camera serviced by a professional. There are quality repair services on the web who will work on your camera.
