Hopefully you don't have a fried motor which is common. Try spinning the paddle by hand and see if it loosens up and works, could just be jammed gears, or could be a fried motor.

Hi, my Smeg MI20X microwave does not work anymore. The display works but if I push a button nothing happens. Can someone help me with this? Thank you.

Does the light come on when you open the door? If it does, I would venture to guess that the keyboard is bad.

If the timer counts down and nothing else happens, the secondary interlock switch is bad. This switch completes the cook circuit and this is why it doesn't run. You need an ohm meter to diagnose and find the right switch. Switch failure is caused by opening the door when it is in cook mode. Push the stop button first before opening the door and this failure will cease to occur. BE CAREFUL !!

I have the cuisinart 14 cup food processor. I have not used it in probably 6 months and today decided to make a pie crust. Everything is ready to go and when I press ON nothing happens. I made certain...

Sometimes mating the bowl to the base does not depress the indented safety start button at the front of the base. This can happen more often if you pre-assemble the bowl and lid before mating to the base. Sometimes also the plunger rod in the bowl (that pushes the indented safety button) gets fouled with debris and does not slide nicely up and down. You may have to clean that area.
Test the safety button .... take the bowl off and take a small screwdriver to depress the button while activating the start lever. BE CAREFUL ... since the center drive cylinder will spin. If the motor turns on and drive cylinder rotates then the problem is how the bowl was mated to the base. If the motor does not turn on ... then it could be the motor/wiring/switch.

The touchpad on my microwave has quit working.

possibly a stuck button which would mean a replacement pad, do the buttons bleep when you push them do some work and others dont its quite common normally its the start button or the cancel which goes(due to constant pushing) and it causes the error alternatively its a possible logic board fault which is far more expensive to replace!
