On a Friedrich in wall AC/Heater in the heat mode in the digital display while the unit is working fine I get a flashing 08 alternating with the temp of 74. Model # PDE15K5SB-A is this a trouble code

This is an error code for "Unit cycles more than 9 times per hour". The service manual says the possible causes are "Unit oversized" and "Low load conditions".

It is not uncommon for the room temperature and the set temp. on the thermostat to be several degrees apart. The room temperature should go down when you set the temperature on the thermostat down to a lower number.Hope this helps you and thanks.

Digital keypad does not respond on Friedrich through the wall AC ("Weathermaster). If I hold down the "cool" button for several seconds, I get E-2 display.

First, check the reset switch on the power cord. If after holding it in for 2 seconds, the unit does not reset itself, it means that you will need a service call. In addition, I have looked over the Owner"s Manual for you model, as well as the Service Manual and no where can I find a reference to an E-2 display on your LED screen. If resetting the unit does not solve the problem. Contact Fredrich's Customer Support Dept (800) 541-6645.

Thru the wall air conditioner is leaking droplets of water from between the frame and the body

Your unit should be pulled from the wall and cleaned. Also Check with a level that through the wall sleeve that the unit sits in has a slight lean towards the outside and not inside.

Sounds like you have a evaporator fan motor. That is what the error code you have indicates, the fan blade could be stalled to.

I work on these units every day and know them very well, I can walk you through any repair on this refrigerator.

TCL-12 CHE/s Mid-wall split unit. The unit is fully operational. The display on the front panal "jumps" - the room temperature display temperature "jumps" Thanks Harold

Clips with PCB loose contacts. Find and rectify. If not clean with blower with minimum speed. Dust forming on display sensor will create these type of jumping.

Squealing and sometimes doesn't blow cool

A squealing noise is most likely the bearings going bad in the blower motor. This will slow the motor down. If the blower is not operating at the proper speed this will affect the temperature pressure relationship of the refrigerant. This will cause the unit to put out the wrong temperature. Running the unit to long under these conditions can possibly cause further problems ( including a very high electric bill). I recommend that use do not use this unit untill it is repaired or replaced.
Good luck.....
