Replacement mica cover for sanyo d95535n microwave

Hi there micro
There are things that the microwave does not like. One of them is aluminium or metal for that matter.
You can buy plastic hoods or just cover the plate with plastic film not forgetting to pierce the film in several places in order to let the steam escape.
all the best

My built-in microwave, 2001 build UMC5100ADW emits sparks from behind cardboard panel. Suspect magnatron, or maybe metal deposits in cardboard. Looking for a replacement to fit the frame...

That "Cardboard" item is a wave guide cover and is critical part of the machine.
It is made of mica and needs replacing. The magnetron is OK as long as it does not spark too much or get any foreign items in there.
Replace the wave guide cover.

Jenn air micr-/convectionoven arcing while running

There are 3 possible openings that you could be alluding to. One is for the light, one is for the air vent, the 3rd is for the magnatron micro beam energy. The sparking can be from dirt buildup, from a loose connection, from a fan blade rotating or from the scatter blade rotating, or from the magnatron gun shorting, or from the mica cover plate if so equiped. Best to carry it in to a service place; it is usually worth fixing, adn only the magnatron failure would be the highest cost of the repairs. it is at least worth spending a diagnosis cost for someone to tell you the real reason and you'll know for sure if you made the right decision. I have a sharp micro wave oven. Occasionally, when some foods are cooked or heated, you can see small bursts of blue flame. What I should do ? I only use microwave safe containers.

You probably have a burnt wave guide cover. Look inside the microwave either on the side or on the top, it's a square piece of mica board, and you should see a burnt spot on it. You should be able to replace it fairly easy with the model number I can check on a replacement for you.

Popping and shooting sparks

Hi There!
Check behind the "Wave Guide Cover" on the inside cavity. There may be moisture or food residue behind it. Should be a cover that is plastic or Mica. Really strange that it's sparking being new. Also check that you use plates without gold or silver trimmings (Crockery or porcelein). This will also cause sparking. Remember that microwaves will always go to the first organic source in its path. The wave guide cover, if soiled, is very close to the tip of the Magnetron and will therefor result in arcing. Good Luck, JUS004
