Question about White Sewing 935 Mechanical Sewing Machine

Open Question

Although I am the original owner of this machine I have not used it for about 20 years. When I tried to spin a bobbin I follow the instructions in the manual exactly but when I give the motor some juice the bobbin spindle does not turn.

SOURCE: bobbin spindle won't spin

Check the bobbin winder rubber, it may be worn or broken and insufficient friction against handwheel to turn.........or a thread jam around spindle is stopping the spin. In this case, carefully unwind, DO NOT cut thread.

SOURCE: I wound a new bobbin and now I can't get it on the

Are you winding your bobbins through the needle and have the foot down at the same time? This will put too much tension on thread, bobbin will wind too tight, plastic expands with the heat of the tension, therefore bobbin won't come off spindle. Do as advised previously, wind only with metal foot, foot NOT down or wind through top only using the metal "button". The top winding works best for me and I wind around the metal button in a figure-of-eight type manner - go to right of button, around bottom of button, up the left side and over to the next guide at the bobbin winding area. I also have better success with putting the thread on the vertical spool pin, thread spooling off from the right-hand side. You need to put a spool cap on first for the thread reel to rest on. No need for the other one on top. Do you have your manual? There are excellent instructions and illustrations on pages 10-11 of the D1 manual.

SOURCE: bobbin winder won't spin Cannot load bobbin

Can be dirt or particles that have made it stuck with friction and so a resetting /overhauling with good oiling, degresing will resolve the matter, provided there is wearing off in the drive.
First use a degreasing spray before you can disemble.

Hi. There is usually a small wire spring sticking out through a slot in the bobbin winding stem which holds the bobbin to the stem. If the stem is rotating but the bobbin is not, chances are this spring may have gotten pushed down too far into the hollow bobbin winding stem or maybe broken or lost.

How do i know if i have the bobbin in right to embroidery on my brother se 400 could that be why the safety thing comes up when I tried to use it for the first time

Your owner's manual should have specific instructions on how to load the bobbin in your machine. Be sure that you are using a bobbin specifically for your machine. Although bobbins sometimes appear to fit, if they are not engineered properly, you may experience issues.

Your manual should also have instructions of what to do if/when you see the "safety" warning. In my mind's eye, if there is a safety issue, something could be potentially dangerous with further attempted use of your item (thus the warning). That would be like trying to operate your car with an activated safety warning. Whatever could be malfunctioning may not be dangerous but why risk trying to use it if the result could a front wheel falling off, the brakes failing, etc.

My Juki HZL F300 bobbin case is making a terrible noise. It sounds like the bobbin is going to spin right out of it. This noise is SO loud! Do I need to oil anything? It is not even a year old.

Try installing a brand new needle. Sometimes a bent or dull needle will cause lots of racket.

You should consult your owner's manual for maintenance--cleaning and oiling instructions. Most sewing machines do require oil--some more frequently than others. Most machines also need frequent oiling in the bobbin/hook area. Be sure to use only good quality sewing machine oil for your machine--NO 3-in-1, WD-40, cooking oil, or old brown stinky oil.

If it continues to make the noise, you should probably have it serviced. Since it is less than a year old, it might still be covered under warranty, so don't delay.

Top Thread bunching around bobbin

I doubt the warranty is any good after 20 years.

In the meantime get some fine grit sand paper, emery cloth, etc. Carefully smooth the rough spots.

I'm sure there are parts available. Look in your manual and see if it has a parts list. If it does search online for the part number.

Good luck.

After following instructions on winding the bobbin for the fast bobbin winding system, the bobbin is not threading

If the bobbin spool is spinning, it will thread.

Take the end of the thread through one of the little holes in the side of the bobbin spool and pull out about 8" of thread. Hold onto it as the bobbin begins to spin.

After the thread has wound 5 - 6 turns, stop the machine and cut off the thread end. Continue the winding process.

Bobbin pole for putting more thread on wont spin fast tried to reload bobbin but machine wont spin bobbin fast enough to put thread on it

most likely you do not have the correct bobbin that fits on the bobbin pole.

on the bottom of the pole there may be a small knub in which the small hole on the bobbin should slip onto this holds the bobbin in palce, (if the wrong bobbin is used and if could be just a slight difference in the boobin ) the pole will not spin correctly and not fill the bobbins,

I have seen different bobbins with the same machine with such a slight difference that the owner did not realize it.
