Question about Home

1 Answer

When using the jacuzzi feature, it sometimes turns on again, after having turned it off, and the water is draining. I am not sure how to make certain it is off as I do not have a manual and the previous owners have not responded to my question.

Some systems have a purge cycle built into them to dry the lines after one is done with the tub. that may be your issue here.

Had turned on the jacuzzi tub and had power failure. Did not turn it off after power came back on. Pump ran without water for 6 hours. How do I test to see if this is now ruined?

Put water in as required, see if the pump leaks out. If not, turn on pump and see if it pumps water. Six hours is a long time, but I would check it before making an assumption that it is damaged.
If it is damaged, you will have to drain the water to repair/replace it.

There might be a problem with your drain, check there first. It comes on once a day what does that mean, does it just heat and circulate or does water turn on automatically I have never heard of the latter part of answer.

We have a hot tub or jacuzzi inside or on the side of our pool. We had a new heater installed. The jacuzzi should heat up very quickly but now the pool tech claims the drain from the jacuzzi is blocked,...

Is the equipment to heat and filter the hot tub separate from the pool equipment or do both bodies of water share a common heater and filter pump? In most cases they share a pump and heater with valves that direct the flow of water depending on how the pool owner wants to use the pools.

The first thing you need to determine then is if the equipment is working properly. Is there flow of water to and from the spa? If so, is the heater burner kicking on? If it is running, is it running properly with sufficient gas pressure, 3-4" tall bright blue flames and stays on continuously during the heating cycle for the spa?

What is 'very quickly' for the time to heat the water? In other words, if everything appears to be operating normally but the water is not warming fast enough or at all how much time is elapsing before deciding the heater is not working?

How old is this equipment and how much experience do you have with this pool tech or the company they are from?

I have a Jacuzzi AO Smith 1.0hp pump for an inground pool - my husband turned off everything to clean the basket in the pump and now we cannot get it going again. We filled up the pump to prime it, put the...

Ok I assume the pump is running? Check the lid again to be sure the "O" ring gasket is in place. If it leaks, it will draw in air, and won't flow full flow. Also check the lid for cracks. If you have seperate valves on your skimmer and main drain, I ususally close the skimmer valve and open the main drain valve fully. Once the pump is pumping full, I usually open the skimer fully, and only open the main drain about 40%. Another tip would be to close these valves on the suction side when you clean the basket, and do it rather quickly, and you won't have as much trouble loosing your prime.

Hello, how I remove the water from my whirlpool jacuzzi bath Balboa Z112 spa so I can clean it

hook up a garden hose to a faucet. Put the other end in your spa. Then turn on the faucetuntil water comes out the spa end of hose. Make sure the end in the spa is weighted down so it doesn't come out. Then remove the hose from the faucet and keeping it lower than the spa lay the hose where it can drain with causing problems. The water will flow on its own draining the spa. You may want to clean it while its draing so the dirty water will be diluted and drain at thhe same time. Make sure the water is not drained out around any electrical AND!!! NO DIVING!!!! If you lose the prime, just fill the hose again with the faucet. Good luck

My Jacuzzi won't turn off or heat

The heater will only fire if it has water in it. If you just got the house, make sure the gas/electric to the heater is on. Turn off the pump and turn it back on.. See if that works. good luck

Two person jacuzzi that hasn;t been used for several years. Iron

You are on the right track. Be sure and chlorinate and run the jets at the same time I would let it set for at least a couple of hours running the jet intermittantly and then drain and repeat.
Sound like you have Iron Bacteria. You may want ot contact a water profeessional who can recommend ways of getting rid of the iron.
Properly Chlorinating your well would be a good first step.

Indoor jacuzzi bathtub problem

Just add 1/2 cup bleach to a full tub of clean water, turn on the jets.

Grab a small goldfish strainer / net and scoop out the moldy chunks.

Keep cycling the water until most of the chunks are gone.

Drain the rub, refill and add 1/2 cup bleach again, repeating the process.

The problem is caused by water left in the lines after use, and it turns moldy.

After each use...drain the tub completely, then turn on the jets for about 10 seconds. This will purge the lines of any standing water.

Fill the tub with clean water and cycle the jets with bleach once a week to prevent any further problem.

Hope this helps...it worked for me, I had the same problem.
