My octopus leaks from the head (not the hose). Could it be an internal problem?

A rebuild or simple adjustment can make it stop leaking if it is coming out of mouth piece if it is leaking from anywhere but mouthpiece or hose connection it needs service.

The suivel of the second stage eos oceanic does not slacken remains giving turns

I think you mean the adjustment knob, because the swivel should always be able to move, it allows for better hose management. It can be removed but I do not see the swivel on the 2nd stage in that picture
If it is the adjustment knob you will need parts from an oceanic dealer or try scubaboard.com.You might be able to get some grey market stuff It Keep in mind scuba equipment is life support gear and someone could get hurt if it is done wrong

Inflator hoses on the most part are fairly universal and are widely available mail order from the internet, just google for your nearest online scuba store. Cost about $20 us. Hope that helps

My older air2 failed, the interior parts corroded

IF the used reg works, at $40 you're likely money ahead. Has the used DualAir you have in mind been looked after lately?

Remember, life support equipment should be WELL maintained and serviced annually by an authorized repair person. What's your live or the life of you buddy worth? Servicing your Air2 would be in the neighborhood of $50, depending on how rotten how many of your corroded parts are. Last I knew, if you buy a Scubapro reg and have it serviced *annually*, as is prudent, the parts are free.

I have an oceanic console with compass, computer , and air pressure. Now I am getting air leaking out by the compass hole. Can the pressure seal be replaced? Thanks for any help. Donald

It's probably the pressure gauge.. before you replace it, put it in some water to see where the leak is actually coming from. If it's coming from inside the gauge housing, it's time to replace it. If it's from where the hose is connected, there's a little spindle inside the connector between the gauge and the high pressure hose. Those frequently get corroded and start leaking. It's a cheap little metal tube with an O-ring on each end - those get brittle, crack and leak... the spindle is a cheap part at your local dive shop.

Ideally, you should have someone who is certified in regulator servicing to do this for you. Otherwise, you may be endangering your life.

What side does the octopus go on? left or right?

The reason to have it on the right is because that is "standard". I dive with a long hose (7') and an octo around my neck on a 22" hose. So long as you explain it to anybody you dive with and talk about your plan for air sharing in advance, it shouldn't be an issue.
