Hi ppaulo,
All the current drivers (Latest for Asus), listed for the Asus A7V600-X motherboard are at this link;
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=A7V600-X&SLanguage=en-us
Click the plus sign on the left of Audio. You might want to save this main link to you're favorites.
You listed (adi 1688 audio driver) but the A7V600-X MB uses SoundMAX Audio.

Good Luck ppaulo!
If you have trouble installing just let me know.

Mike

Skip my reply above; didn't work. The BSOD is very erratic, so its hard to be sure. Try DLing the latest Realtek HD Audio drivers

Windows 7 driver problem

I installed windows 7 on my computer and I actually was able to load the vista driver for my hardware.

If your motherboard has a vista driver available for the sound, try that and see if it works. If it doesn't then you know that the motherboard won't fully support windows 7.

SOUND DRIVER MISSING

Asus P4S533-MX motherboard has ADI AD1980 sound chipset. This can be downloaded here: http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/audio/ad1888/WDM_3665.zip (USA)
Hope this helps. Cheers.

ASUS p5gl-mx sound problem on Window 7

You're motherboard has the following audio chipset:
SoundMax ADI AD1986A. There is no specific Windwos 7 audio driver for your motherboard yet, but any Windows 7 compatible driver for the AD1986 will do.

I found a Vista driver on the Asus site which should be compatible, although I didn't check it myself (since I don't use Win7 yet). The download link is on this page: http://support.asus.com/download/download_item.aspx?product=1&model=P5VDC-X&SLanguage=en-us&Type=all

Yeah, the page loads very slow, but whenever it's there, download & try the "ADI AD1986A Audio Driver v6.10.01.6070" driver.

Mainboard asus a7v600-f

have a look at this guide first:

http://support.asus.com/technicaldocuments/technicaldocuments.aspx?root=198&SLanguage=en-us

then have a look at this support page:

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

You'll need to fill in the information in the drop down boxes though:

Select product: Motherboard

Select series: Socket A

Select Model: A7V600

You will then go to a screen where you need to select your operating system, once you've selected the correct one you will have a list of downloads appear which will include Updated Bios files.

Hope the info helps

Sound Card

Hi izhet19,
click on this link from Asus for the sound driver for the
A7V600-X motherboard;
http://support.asus.com.cn/download/download.aspx?modelname=A7V600-X&SLanguage=en-us
You'll need to click the drop-down menu & click on your operating system from the list. Than click Search Button.
Click the + sign next to Audio.
Create a folder on your desktop & name it Audio.
Download the audio driver, " SoundMax Audio Driver version 5.12.01.3663 WHQL driver for Windows 98SE,ME,2000,XP ", file name, WDM_3663.zip " Save the file WDM_3663.zip ", into the Audio folder you created .
You'll need Winzip to uncompress the file: WDM_3663.zip.

Download Winzip 12 trial version at this next link;
http://download.cnet.com/WinZip/3000-2250_4-10003164.html
Once uncompressed you can run the driver software.
Make sure you have the Audio enables or set to Auto in your bios.

Good luck!
