IF you only had it a week then you can take it down and get your money back.

Your new moniter may not be compatible with your computer. I have an Emachines that won't take a flat screen. I have to use a big bulky moniter because it says not connected even thought the hookup fits the back of the tower. That might be your problem. Did your old moniter work correctly?

I have HP w2338h moniter .Its screen show menue screen again and again .

Hi hsaiyed,

appear. You can do different function you want for your monitor to do such as turning the menu off. Observe if the button is working properly, if it is stuck the "menu" on screen won't go away. The buttons are either on the right hand side facing you or under the panel.Buttons go bad due to improper use. If it is bad you have to replace the control panel.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Moniter's menu option gets automatically selected whenever i open my moniter screen

arpanpallar, If you are certain that pc not causing problem, then hp internal "switch-mode-power-supply" could be the problem. Noisey DC source will cause very strange things to occur on screen!! You or technician will need to look for common visual signs of bad capacitors on the circuit board. Do some reading in my and other CCFL back-lit lcd monitor tech's fixya profiles. 12fixlouie

My hp w2007 moniter keeps going black after about 10 mins. of idle .turned off screensaver because i want moniter to stay on but it doesnt.

Where you go to select "no" screen saver, there should be a "Power Settings" button. Press this and in there you can set the power save feature to "never" switch off monitor. Hope this helps. Ian.

ONLY STREAKS OF COLORS when TURNING ON!

the problem is the update you downloaded someone mixed with your graphic chip.. causeing it to only display dots and lines. the hp logo with the back round is the start up page. here are 2 ideas you might wanna try.

1. if your graphics car is in a AGP or PCI, pull it out and try useing the default card build in the computer.. if it is the default go out and bye a cheap graphics card and see if that works.. if not return it and get your money back.

2. try useing a diffrent moniter.. your moniter might of blown out. if that still dont fix it you might need to contact HP or the moniters manufactuer.

hope this helped!
