Is the memory card inserted??if yes try to check the memory card on the pc. Maybe the card was wasted or corrupt. So you can see the previous pictures before the mmc corrupted, And it cant be deleted.

If No. try to reformat the unit by pressing menu and settings. After formatting,,click reset for defaulting settings..

took the memory card out and then turn on the camera. NOw select photos and delete them. Internal memory can not be formatted. You need to delete them one by one or select all and then delete them.

My camera won't regognise my memory card: although the memory card is in the camera, on-screen it says "int" which i know means photos will be taken on the internal memory, as if there's not a memory card...

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, your card should work properly.

I am unable to take photos with my samsung digimax s800 camera as the message 'CARD LOCKED' keeps coming up on screen. I have deleted loads of photos so the memory card is definitely not full. Any ideas?

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Internal Memory on Camera wont allow format

You usually have to take out the SD card, close the door and then delete images in camera in the normal way (press delete button in play mode, when confirmation dialogue appears, press delete button again, select >delete all< and press OK). Most cameras default to the memory card when one is inserted, that's why you have to take it out to delete data from the internal memory.
Hope that helps

Ive got a Samsung Digimax L70 and I have been trying to clear the actual camera's memory. I have uploaded photo's from the SD card but 400 or more photos remain on the camera and I just can't access them...

Wow! You have 400 pics on the internal memory. That must be some huge internal memory. Anyway, to delete them, remove the card from the camera...go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

The memory is full. I want to delete the photos

Go to the Playback Menus, by pressing the OK button while in Playback. When in the Delete Menu, select the option you want. One of the options is All images. That should do it for you. You could also use the Format option. You can find your User Guide and Manual at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&product=1144747&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

Canon ixus 50 unable to delete photos from card

If the card is a removable memory card, take it out and use a adapter on your computer.  Format the card on your computer then put it back into your camera.  It should be ok after formatting on PC.

Memory card is locked

There is a small tab (like a very small hole with a sliding piece of plastic) on the corner of the memory card. Slide it to unlock it :)
