What to do is locate your documents folder by going to the go menu and then select Home and then single click on your documents folder and drag it onto the dock and then release it. That should sort it. Hope this helps.

How do i remove skype from my laptop?

The short answer is: Drag the Skype icon in your Dock off of it and drop it - it will go *poof* and disappear. Then, drag the Icon for Skype from the Applications folder on your local hard drive to the trash bin on your Dock. This will effectively remove all of the application information from your computer minus some very insignificant preference files. If you need to know how to delete them, please reply and let me know! Further, if Skype starts up with your computer please let me know if you get an error upon reboot and I'll help you clean that up as well.
Thanks, and I hope this helps!

My Document Folder has disappear from Dock.....I was not able to put it back. I tried to drag the document Folder icon in, but it does not work. What am I doing wrong?

You should be able to drag the Documents folder from a Finder window to the Dock.

Open a Finder window (click on the desktop, then hit Command-N). On the left side, go to the Places item (click the arrow on the left to expand it). Select your user name. In the window, you should see all the folders in your home folder. Click and drag the Documents folder down to the right side of the Dock -- to the right of the dotted line, before the Trash.

If you hover over the other folder icons, you should be able to move the pointer in between them. Once they split apart to open up a space for you, release the mouse button.

You cannot drag the little icon on the left of the Finder window (under your user ID) to the Dock. It has to be the regular folder icon on the right side of the Finder window.

How do i restore safari browser when i lost the icon

What do you mean by "lost the icon"? If it's not in the dock anymore, but still on your hard disc, you probably just dragged the icon out of the dock. Go to your Applications folder an drag the icon back in your Dock. – You can also use Spotlight (upper right corner, menu bar) to search for Safari.

My mac book pro now has two safari icons. one on the dock and one on the screen. i can't get rid of one of them, please help.

If you want to get rid of the Safari icon on your dock:
just click on the Safari icon and drag it away from the dock, then let go of the icon.
It should just disappear.

If you want to get rid of the Safari icon on your screen (I'm assuming on your desktop):
-open a new Finder window (Finder> New Window)
-click on the Safari icon on your desktop and drag it to the Finder window, where it says "Applications", then let go of the icon
- it should disappear from your desktop

If I try to drag something into the dock it disappears...

Drag the file you are trying to put into the dock to the right of the silver line at the right of the dock. The file you want to delete, let it disappear in the 'puff of smoke' and then go into Macintosh HD and find the file and drag it over the trash icon. I hope it works!

Thanks, Logan

Hard disk icon disappeared from desktop

To add the hard disk icon back onto your desktop, first click the "Finder" button in the dock. It is the dark and light smily face icon at the end of the dock.

Next, click the "Finder" menu item at the top of the screen and then "Preferences". In the "Finder Preferences" window that opens, click the "General" button. From there you can select what system items appear on your desktop. You can click "Hard disks" to re-add the hard disk icon.
