Balboa panel on Viking aurora hot tub reads HH and then changes to SA when I turn on jets. Then back to SA thenHh. sA sensor just replaced and not fixed
As a warranty technician for both Viking AND Balboa, I think I can help.
SA is telling you that sensor A is defective. You already know this. But it can also mean that the wire is defective or the circuit board itself has failed.
HH means that there is a high temperature problem... or a sensor problem... or some other problem that is in that logic process.
The HH in addition to the SA points to a defective sensor.
First, turn off the breaker.
Second, reverse the two sensors at the circuit board by unplugging them and re-plugging them into the opposite jack. A into B and B into A.
Turn on the breaker. If you have a defective wire or sensor, it will now tell you that Sensor B is defective.
If it repeats that Sensor A has failed, then the issue is your board.
It is always a good practice to replace both sensors together to prevent these types of problems.
If it looks like the board is the problem, call us at 660-263-0984 and I can help you beyond this.
