I have bought a 4gb extreme III sd card but it will not work in the camera. It can be seen with the reader in the pc and I can put files on it but it won't work in the camera.

I'm stuck as to the source of the problem, the card or the camera. Any idea of a remedy

sir , i have browsed thro many sites,,they just said u got expandable memory n didnt tell anything about maximum size. of the capacity.

anyways,i better advise u to use only 2 GB memory card,,if u wanna take lott of photos reduce the picture quality( that doesnt affect much) n also u can readily copy to the system n format it n u can use it with rapid access

    thanking u

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

As i inserted my 8gb sd card to my lg viewty and formatted the memmory seems to be reduced to 1.74 gb. how to recover rest of my memmory

Hello, it's quite possible your LG Viewty doesn't support SDHC cards...only SD cards. If it's bigger than 2GB then it's NOT an SD card...but a SDHC one (The HC stands for high capacity) There's quire a difference between the 2 types.
You could check the spec. of your LG thing to see if SDHC cards are supported.

I have a Sandisk Extreme III 2.0 GB and when I plugged it into my mac and click on "Get info" I get.... Capacity: 1.89 GB Available: 1.2 MB (?) Format: MS-POS File System (FAT16) I erased...

The mac still sees the "deleted" files because they're still there. I would recommend you using Disk Utility and formatting the card as "MS-DOS".

That should do the trick ;)

Or you can try emptying the trash with the card connected, it may or may not see the files and trash them. Apple's Trash program is pretty trashy ;)

Memory card errror

Change card. Especially older type digital cameras cannot handle memory cards bigger than 2 GB. Some don't handle the high capacity cards or faster cards (usually marked 'Type II, III, 4, 5, Ultra etc.).
Get a new 2GB card and see if it works.

I took some photos on an extreme 3 card that i've used many times before, but now I can't transfer the images to a computer. I've tried two different card readers with the same result. The images are...

Connect the camera with the card in it to the PC and then allow Windows to detect the camera and pop up a menu. This menu will have the option of copying files to the PC.

I have Sandisk Extreme III 4GB memory card why after i shooting photo the file is cannot read?

Make sure your camera is compatible with a 4GB flash card. Some only take 1 or 2 GB cards. If that isn't the issue, format your card inside the camera with the camera's format utility.

LLFTOOL is a utility for low-level disk drive formatting,
also supports formatting of FLASH cards using a card-reader.

1. Download this tool:

2. Format

(WARNING: After running this low level format tool,
the whole USB flash disk surface will be fully erased.
Therefore, data restoration will be impossible after using this utility!)
