Turn off your freezer before starting, then you need to remove all the freezer drawers and then remove the back panel to expose the defrost element .you then need to clear the build up of ice ,especialy around the centre drain hole, this is best done with a hair drier on low heat (do not melt any plastic parts).you may have to get to the rear of the freezer and clear the drain pipe which goes to the evaporator tray on top of the compressor unit.
once it is running clear you can reassemble the parts and switch back on the power.

On my Hotpoint FFA90 fridge freezer occasional leaks occur at the bottom of the freezer where ice accumulates. The fridge section above is fine. Any suggestions?

There is one in the freezer section as well. It's a small white tube. I've had the same thing happen with mine. I just took everything out of the freezer, and used hot water. It's caused by condensation buildup in the drain tube, which then freezes, obviously because it is a freezer after all. Hot water usually does the trick. Just be sure to clean it up, and dry it off really well so it doesn't re-freeze and cause the same issue.

I have a ffa90 futre fridge & bottom frezzer. the fridge is frezzing the food in the door & in the fridge. have tryed water in botles & they get ice on it .in the door the food frezzers so

Find where the supply air is coming into the fridge part. It comes from the freezer and could easily be supplying -18 air direct to the door. This would give you a 2 in the fridge but anything in the direct air path could freeze.

Hi I am the lady with the freezer that keeps icing up at the bottom and then dribbles water from the door when you open the door. Did you say to pull the freezer out and do something at the back of unscrew the little panel that is inside the freezer at the bottom?

Fan not working on fridge section of Hotpoint Fridge Freezer Model FFA90

the problem is there is a build up of ice insid of the freezer .
What you need to do is take out all your draws in the freezer and you will see a plastic backing held on with about 8 screws . undo all the screws and the back should come aay and you will see all the ice built up . just use a hair drier to melt the ice and that should cure your problem.
