Question about Amana Refrigerators
I suspect that your inlet water solenoid is not closing all the way and letting water seep past the valve. When the ice maker rotates, it hits a micro switch that operates the solenoid.This is just an electromagnet that pulls a shaft out of the way of the water flow. Spring pressure snaps it back in place when the power is taken off of the solenoid. The spring has gotten weak or is being blocked by water sediment. You are going to have to replace that solenoid.
