Tried to boot in safe mode, but because the screen is not working I can't see if it is truly in safe mode or not. If I boot the laptop normally and let if finish, I can then attach an external monitor and see everything.

I just see a very light blue screen. In safe mode it is a screen that shows half white and half black

What type of lines exactly do you see? Notwithstanding, try and change your memory(RAM). Goodluck.

Try and boot into safe mode, and see if that helps, tap f8 repeatedly and boot into safe mode, if it works it's a display settings problem and can be fixed in normal mode if it doesn't then i'm not sure where to go, i would bank on it being a display setting fault or new drivers need installed

i would recommend removing the bezel from the screen, depending how many screws it should be relatively simple they're hidden behind the little foam pieces on the face of the monitor. you can re-glue them back on afterwards or depending the glue may be re-used that's on them. take out the screws and carefully remove the bezel and you should be able to bend the screen downwards and see behind it. this is where the power/video card connections are. make sure that the connections are tight and in place as they are very thin connectors and should only go in one way. i'd even go so far as to unplug them and plug them back in as it may just be a poor connection. here is a walkthrough on the procedure for removing the screen, you may get lucky and it could be the connection to the board, if it's not double check the connection on the lcd itself

Hello, My Samsung SyncMaster 2233 shows a small box to the right bottom of the screen with some Brightness issue, I checked all my display setting as well as did the auto-adjustment, it goes for some time...

Your tvs TFT panel or the mother board have some problem. The only why to find which one is faulty by replacing the mother board. consult some one who is experience in it. becuse you have already done what you can.

Dv4000 screen is on for a few seconds then goes black. Replaced screen balast and worked for 10 minutes, then went black again as before replacement. Should I replace the lcd screen?

No. The bulb is good. It could be the DC/DC invertor - that little curcuit board just beneath the in the LCD - or the video off the notebooks motherboard. - personal experiance points to that invertor

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 PC Notebook) Screen have wavy line. How to fix it?

I would plug the laptop into an external drive to rule out any mother board issue first. If it is still showing the wavy lines on an external drive then it is a motherboard issue. Otherwise, try reseating the cable connections from the motherboard to the display screen.
Hope that helps.

Gigabyte mother board ga-6bx7+

You might have damaged the CPU/ motherboard during the process of overclocking.

Check your CPU on other compatible mobo.

Check your mobo documentation properly & set the jumpers rightly. If that doesn't help, you will have to replace the mobo.

its a proprietary Mother board. there for you need the exact replacement MOBO. with how old this one is. id say your going to want to look on ebay for one with a broken screen thats maybe been gutted and all thats left is a MOBO. cause you cant get it from panasonic heres the exact number and model you need CF18FHHZABE. but since its proprietary you cant go walking into best buy anytime soon. so ebay one that doesnt have a blown board and that should help. but for the cost it seems you could already be 1/4th on your way to a newer much faster and nicer laptop. - thnx Nathan
