Question about Olympus EVOLT E-510 Body Only Digital Camera
I'm not really sure what's going on, but it could also be a hardware problem, or maybe ribbon connector inside the camera from the usb port to the main board, or maybe a bent pin in the usb connector.
Check it out carefully, and remove the batteries, in case you haven't tried that already.
Here's Olympus' website of FAQ's, and you might browse the firmware and updating the lens section...just find the word "usb" on the page, and you'll be at that section:
I noticed the usb has to be set to "storage", but not sure if it has to be set back or not.
Couldn't find any reports on the net about this problem, so you might see what Olympus says, and get a repair estimate.
