1293 worked for me. But here are some more
0037, 0056, 0060, 0065, 0080, 0081, 0125, 0137, 0178, 0191, 0204, 0244, 0245, 0275, 0318,
0389, 0391, 0398, 0405, 0459, 0502, 0742, 1146, 1367. We also have some older codes;
206, 037, 060, 065, 080, 137, 191, 244, 245, 275, 318, 389, 391, 398, 405, 459, 502.
The codes are stored in a database of the Sky remote. If the above codes don't work
you may need to buy the latest Sky remote. Otherwise it is a matter of waiting for the
new Sky remote which may have the updated codes. Best regards, LG Electronics.
Note: LG Support supplied the following for Rev.8: 0206, 1293, 1665, 1174, 1176, 1219, 1280, 0857, 0851.

SOURCE: lg plasma 50pc56 thin vertical
All plasma an LCD TV have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken...
I hope that will help in solving the problem.....

I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble.
This is a common problem on this models. This is classic bad electrolytic capacitor trouble on the power board they leak or balloon up when they start to fail and from a cold start can be particularly troublesome.Unfortunately, this would not be a ' quick fix '. You need to dissemble the TV to repair the same.
There are 2 options :
1. Replace the bad caps on the power board. The caps would cost around $20 from radioshack or fry's.
2. Replace power supply board which would be expensive.
If you have electronics repair experience, revert and i would be able to provide the steps to repair it. If the TV is less than 5 years old, it would worth repair.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
