There is a link to download the user guide as well so you can figure out how to turn the Wifi on and off. Your Wifi adapter might be disabled or turned off or need drivers installed in order to work. Manuals for these laptops are fairly difficult to find. So far, besides the link above, I have found one Web site that has Advent User Guides for all of the models including the 7086. The only downside to this solution is that it isn't free. 9manuals.com, which keeps coming up as the most relevant result, charges $5.98 for the Advent 7086 User Guide.
