The radios will charge just fine while they're switched on -- the charging cycle will just just take longer to complete . . .

Cobra microtalk will not charge

this is the sign of a damaged or dead battery pack. they can be rebuilt at Batteries Plus or replaced. I would also try alkaline batteries in the radio before spending money on new battery packs. Most rechargeable battery packs must be kept charged regularly, and should be fully discharged before recharging, or they will be damaged and end up with a limited lifespan. IF you are handy with a multimeter you can check to see that the charger is putting voltage out by placing the probes on the contacts while it is plugged in. especially if the cord is twisted or looks stretched, but generally it is the battery not the charger.

Why green light on charger dose not flashing during charging

I assume it used to? you may have a faulty charger (if you know some one with another charger you can borrow you can see if that works and if so you need to replace the charger, remember to check the charging amp's on your charger and make sure the one you borrow matches yours, form instance if your changer is 24volts @ 5 amp you need the same charge rate, you can go lower but not higher.as you may damage the circuitry, if the charger is ok then you have probably got a shot circuit on the chair. or the batteries are damaged (if you have a car charger and you can remove the batteries try to charge them with that and see if they take the charge, if not then it is your batteries that need changing)

hope that helps

Im locked out of my ipod a1288 the computer dose not recenise it and it has a pitcure of a scull on the screen as well it shows a picture of battery charging but it dose not charge

these appears to be a damaged ipod, the only way to "fix" it is to send it into apple.. but perhaps just buy a new ipod, it'd be cheaper than paying for a repair and than shiping to and from apple.

The batteries have likely been damaged from being on the chargers too long. Try trading a known good battery into the non-working radios and see if it/they will work with a good battery. If so, replace your batteries, and then only put the radios on the charge when they need a charge, such as after the radios have been used 8-10 hours. Longterm charging can quickly age batteries. Life expectancy of a battery is 18-24 months with good care.

Best regards.

I just put new batteries in my Cobra microtalk PR 3500 DX battery charger. How long will it take to charge them? Should the Radio's be in the on or off position. Thank You mjbarry42@comcast.net Mike...

The radios will work fine while being charged, but they will charge faster if turned off. Normal charging time is 8-10 hours, but I would recommend an overnight charge - they won't overcharge or be damaged by the longer charge time.

if the battery light is on when the engine is running you may have damaged the voltage regulator in the alternator, as for the radio it has certainly sustained serious damage,it might be cheaper to replace than to repair......hope this helps....cheers

I have a golden 3 wheel scooter dose charger

If the charger is working correctly, it should turn itself off automatically (may go into float chrarge depending on type of charger). There should be an LED or an amp meter on the charger to tell you when the charge is complete. When the batteries are charged, you should be able to leave the charger switched on and it should cause no harm UNLESS the charger is faulty, in which case it will continue charging and damage the batteries. You should be able to tell if this is happening as the batteries will become very warm. If the batteries are losing their charge after you have switched the charger off, it is most likely that your batteries need replacing. Failing that, you may have a short somewhere which unfortunately, could be difficult to find.
