I don't believe I can solve the solution, only sympathize, as I have a 46" C8000 and the 4 HDMI ports only seem to work when the TV has been in use for a while, and sometimes not then, I normally have to go to stand-by and turn the BD player on which in turn sends a signal to turn the TV on and on to the HDMI port being used, sometimes this doesn't even work. This is a replacement for the first TV which also had the same problem.

Before getting the HDMI port repaired, I would suggest trying a new cable and also make sure that it's the HDMI port on the TV that's bad and not whatever is connected to that port. Try a different DVD player or something... Do you have a different HDMI input on the TV you can use?

When selecting the source, HDMI 2 will not highlight, Only TV. HDMI cable connected to box and to HDMI2 port on TV

You have to check the HDMI cable. In Samsung tvs the HDMI sources only highlights if the a proper HDMI sources is connected to the corresponding HDMI port of the tv. Also check by connecting any other device which have and HDMI connectivity to the HDMI 2 port.

Samsung TV Is Not Picking Up A Playstation 3 HDMI Signal

If you are able to connect your PS3 to another TV using the same HDMI cable that would rule out your PS3, if it works.....or
does the PS3 itself have any settings that perhaps need to be set to an HDMI output as opposed to Composite or SCART etc?
Also have a look at the HDMI settings in theh TV menu too.

How do set the resolution on a samsung 50" plasma (ps50q7hx)

make sure that the tv is in "HDMI" mode. If there are multiple HDMI ports on your tv then check to see which one it is. You should see HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc. Then when you are sure what port it is in on either your tv directly or using the remote press the input button until the desired input is selected. So for example, if you have it in HDMI port one, press the INPUT button on either your tv or remote and cycle up or down until you select HDMI 1 and that should do it! sorry if it doesn't!

How to activate my laptop to my samsung tv

If you mean watch what you see on your laptop on your TV, then you need to connect an HDMI cable or S-Video cable (depending on what sort of ports you have) from your laptop to your TV, then select the appropriate input on your TV or TV remote. For example if connected via HDMI and your TV has 2 HDMI inputs (ie. HDMI 1 and HDMI 2), select which one you connected to.

Using the samsung HWC500 as a receiver/switch for home theater. Audio to speakers cuts out at start of each commercial for about 2 seconds. I have cable receiver plugged into samsung through HDMI,...

most likely your samsung has an active search for inputs. normally to solve this problem is to try moving input of hdmi into a different port on samsung reciever or see if maybe your manual states you can shut off this automatic audio switching. what happens is receiver will actively seek another input when sound cuts out like between commercials or movie/commercial because no sound will be coming through hdmi cable for a sec or 2. Read your samsung manual carefully it might state how to get around it but some don't so that's why i say try a different input to see if it will still do it because some hdmi inputs will be more dominant than others or have a longer delay before searching other inputs for audio.
