Try connecting it to another computer, if this computer cannot detect the 320Gb drive, then it is broken.
These drivers do not liked being dropped especially on a hard surface.

Bar that sewng foot is attached to for raising & lowering suddenly will not drop sweing foot all the way down to plate. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Perhaps you accidently moved the switch that enables free hand embroidery? It's up and under next to the pressor foot lever. Slides forward and backward. Forward the pressor foot will go all the way down to the feed dogs. Slid back and it keeps the foot up off the feed dogs but allows the thread tension to work properly. It would be easy to accidently move it when operating the pressor foot raise/lower lever.

Model # 1764180 The Foot Holder will not pick up the Presser Foot, none of them will snap in. The Snap-On button seem to be just sitting loose, it does nothing.

Sounds like the spring has gone/broken in the foot holder.

Not sure on the make/model of your machine but try www.sewingpartsonline.com and see if you can find a generic foot holder there to suit your machine. They usually denote them as low shank or high shank, you may see one that looks like yours there.

Dropped my laptop. It didn't shut down or anything it ran just fine. When I turned it on this morning it would not start and prompted me to do a system restore. Started that but it didn't complete because...

When you dropped it you will have caused the Hard drive arm to contact the surface of the hard drive, damaging it.
Unfortunatly, it looks like it damaged the Boot files, Its worth a try with the recovery disc, you may need a new hard drive if it fails with the recovery disc

My janome machine model 2001.doesnot work properly it thread is loose from down side during sewing ,sometimes work properly but some time while sewing it shows same problem i was cleaning with tooth brush...

I think you may have to careful clean everything and check you havn't dropped feed dogs or changed a setting. I don't really know what you mean by the foot getting stuck, but if the feed dogs ( moving part under the cloth) are down than the cloth can't move. Also, the pressure of the foot may be too high; this can also happen accidently while cleaning.
Get a manual ( sewingmanuals.com) and double check everything. Also, check there is no thread in the thread guides as this may have been your original problem. pull a thread towards to needle
