Check to make sure that the lint trap is clean and clear -- also check the exhaust hose and outside vent for any obstructions. also check the vent holes that lead to the lint trap -- sometimes these can become plugged up with fibers and not lint out the wash proper.

After spin clothes still a bit wet

If the machine is pumping out all the rest of the water, I would suggest you check for partial blockages of lint and or fluff buildup in the pump or sump hoses. Also, another result of poor spin drying can be using too much soap. Lastly, if its a belt drive machine, the belt could be slipping.

Dr comes up wont start

dr is door error
this generation of dryer has alot of control board failures(the relay for the heat burns the terminals for the wires)
you can inspect these relay connection visably by removing the front control panel

you might want to try setting the machine to the fluff/air dry setting and try starting the dryer, if it starts in air fluff you need to check the connections on that relay
this is not a factory taught test.
its just something a customer pointed out one time and i have tried on many after the fact, and for whatever reason these machines will still run in fluff mode when the board is gone.

What is causing the burning smell in my washer / dryer?

Do u want to resolve the f-13 fault code ON HOTPOINT WD860 Ultima Or Similar.
Fix the fault . It is a tricky job but the heater thermostat switch has tripped as it senses something burning. Probably a little bit of fluff on the heater element inside the heater unit.. There are 2 switches on top of this heater unit. One where the 2 blue wires go on the top left of the 3rd picture and the other which has a tall black wire connector on shown in the middle of the 3rd picture. Remove that connector and undo the holding screw . You can then reset the switch. The switch is a small circular switch hidden beneather the connector on the photos. This thermostat switch has a yellow. red dot ontop of it. If you use a small pin or needle and press into that dot you will hear it tick back into place. you have reset the switch now. You will probably need to clean the inside of the heater element unit to get rid of the fluff particles or it will keep switching off. To take this apart you will need a set of Star screwdrivers. Its a bit tricky but you will be able to undo the star screws and take them all out. I will add some photos to show you the unit apart. You can see the build up of fluff on the photos i have added from my hotpoint WD860 heater unit. This is a tricky job and takes about an hour due to the screw being awkward to take off and put on again but mine hasnt faulted for 2 years since sorting it out. You can buy a new Thermostat switch which is about 10 pounds sterling from Hotpoint or other spares stores. causing-burning-smell-in-washer-dryer-04t3bj0jgktmuqmnt3s3ejb0-2-0.png causing-burning-smell-in-washer-dryer-04t3bj0jgktmuqmnt3s3ejb0-2-2.jpg causing-burning-smell-in-washer-dryer-04t3bj0jgktmuqmnt3s3ejb0-2-5.jpg causing-burning-smell-in-washer-dryer-04t3bj0jgktmuqmnt3s3ejb0-2-9.jpg causing-burning-smell-in-washer-dryer-04t3bj0jgktmuqmnt3s3ejb0-2-14.jpg causing-burning-smell-in-washer-dryer-04t3bj0jgktmuqmnt3s3ejb0-2-20.jpg

How should I wash my sleeping bag?

There are two methods recommended for a sleeping bag wash. One is using a washing machine on the gentlest cycle possible, it's a bit risky but it saves some time. The other way is to hand wash the bag in your bath using a proper soap and gently massaging the bag until the dirt come off, this is a very safer way than washing the bag that's for sure.

Locating fluff filter on aeg washer/dryer . After using the dryer facility the following wash resulted in garment containing patched of fluff .presumably from previous drying task.Is there a fluff filter...

I have the same problem with mine. There isn't a fluff filter that you can get to easily. When the engineer came to fix something else he showed me this big tube thing inside the machine that had the inside coated with fluff. The machine wasn't very old and I only use the dryer for underwear (apparently towels make it much worse). So ... you'll have to get someone to dismantle the machine to get to the fluff. I was wondering if it is covered by the guarantee because it is ruining my washing.

Wd440 not drying. how does the fluff get emptied?

Because it is a washer dryer, there is no fluff filter to clean.
It is self cleaning, because the fluff is washed away by cold water entering the condenser and flushing the fluff away.
Trust this answers your query.

Thankyou.

Not drying properly & full of fluff

maybe the system needs a complete fluff cleanout. the build up may be obstructing the hot air flow through the condensor manifold, or sticking the circ fan.
