Normally if that happens you have not enough salt. Try to add a little more, and see what happens. Also I am using exactly the same machine. The same thing happened with me too. I lost interest in bread making, and the machine ended up on a shelf for more that a year. When I started to use it again, and couldn't find the manual (blessing in disguise). I started to use recipes downloaded from the internet, and my breadmaker is now working for me on a daily basis. Check out allrecipes.com, you won't regret it. Oh yea, unlike what you might have read in your manual, I started to activate my yeast first - on all recipes! I mix my dry yeast with the sugar, and add the water raised to a temp of 38 degrees C to it. I let it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes. I then add the yeast water to the bread pan, and then the rest of my mixture. Just take care, I had to reduce my yeast because it was working so well. Your bread will come out flufier and raise higher
