You have to sync it with your wii.theres a small door on the front of the wii, open it and you will see a red button and a red button in the back of your remote where the batteries go,press them both at the same time to sync them.

Trying to SYNC my second Wii remote but every time I do, only one of the led blue light blink. What does this mean?

typically, the lights flash in sequence to let you know the player controller that is being synced. ie. (player 1. first light, player 2. second light. etc.)

Turn off for a moment, try again, reconnect your controller.

Since its brand new, you can get it replaced if that doesn't work, dont waste your energy on it, just get another one, free replacement / warraty. Im sure.

On one of the wii controllers all i get is 4 blue lights flashing then nothing

The Wii-mote probably just needs to be synchronized to your Wii. Open the battery compartment on the back of your remote and open the front SD card slot on your Wii. Push the red SYNC button on the Wii and then the little red button on your Wii-moteand it should sync to your console.

Have you tried one time syncing it? (By pressing home and then pressing reconnect controllers)

If you have make sure you're not trying to connect it in a single player game. If you do, the second controller will not connect.

Controllers wont sync

If you have pressed the sync button on wii, then on the wii-mote, and it still didn't sync, try unplugging the Wii console for few minutes and try the process again.
There is another syncing mode, but you have to have at least one wii-mote connected to the wii. You press the home button and the click on the wii-mote on the screen. There will be a reconnect button. Press that and then press both the 1 and 2 buttons on the wii-mote[s] you want to connect. This is the ONE TIME ONLY connect mode, used when playin on a friends Wii. Once the Wii is powered off, the wii-mote wont be connected any longer and will still be the default wii-mote for your wii system [not on your friends]. Hope this helps.

If all the lights are coming on then going off again the controller needs to be synched with the wii. Once it is synchronized after all the indicator lights flash one should stay on indicating which player you are (1 -4)
To synch a controller to the wii:
Make sure the wii is in
Open the battery cover on the wiimote
Open the front panel of the wii
Press the synch button on the console
Press the red synch button on the wii mote
Should work for you.
