That model is a Walmart "special". It was built with a very poor processor. Your best bet is to try to convince Walmart to take it back. If that doesn't work, an upgraded processor is your only option to fix. (AMD Turion 64 X2 RM-72 is a good one that will work for that model)

Try cleaning the airways and exhaust with a vacuum cleaner, there may be fluff stopping the air flow.
Hope that helps if not replace the fan and heatsink compound on the uProcessor.

Your laptop is getting too hot therefore you need to place in on a wooden surface like a table instead of your lap to prevent it from getting overheated.

Sounds like a overheating issuse. Get a can of air or vacuum and blow out any vents.

Also avoid playing games on any soft surface couch bed etc. As that blocks the fans.

If that dosen't fix it it is most likely the GPU on the motherboard overheating and lifting off the board. It is a very common problem.

Hello there,
Newer Toshiba laptops usually have the ability to create recovery discs that will let you recover to "factory settings." Try this:

1. Click Start

2. Select All Programs

3. Select Recovery Disc Creator.

Recovery Disk Creator

4. Within the Recovery Disc Creator select Create

5. When prompted enter the first blank DVD and select Ok

6. When prompted enter the second blank DVD and select Ok

I hope this helps. Thumbs up if you think so.
