I just bought a vivitek d510 projector and i had it for a hour before the image dissapeared and the fans shut down but the power stayed on..when i go to shut the power off it blinks 10 to 20 times then quits blinking for one second then turns back on but still no image

Sorry, the projector just died on you: the blinks signal the fact that the mainboard can't start the bulb so either the bulb or the ballast board (the board that powers it) have failed. Since this has happened almost immediately after you have started using it it means that it's a manufacturing defect - they have used faulty parts.
Do not attempt to open it, there's nothing you should do to fix it, it's their problem.
The only thing you must do is to return it immediately.
