Hey, most stations are not broadcasting analog anymore. That is why you are only getting 10 channels.

SOURCE: My sister has just bought

Go to the TV setup menu and autodetect all channels. This should fix it. This is assuming your Sister is not using a set-top box.

In that case, you neet to leave the set on either channel 3 or 4, or use the video/audio input jacks and leave the set on VIDEO IN. The best picture with a non-HDMI set-top box will always be with the AV OUT from the box going to AV IN on the set [the white/red (audio left/right) and yellow(video) connections].

If she is using a set-top box with an HDMI output, connect an HDMI cable to the set and select HDMI IN for the absolute best picture.

SOURCE: i have done an autotune on my sony bravia tv but am not getting channel 9 sbs. the television in the bedroom is a smaller digital tv and that picks up all the channels. the two tv's are connected

Is the splitter an amplified splitter or not? Have you tried the channel search when you connect the antenna directly to the TV? (Disconnect the cables from the splitter and use a coupler to join them together.) Tuners do vary in their sensitivity. For digital signals, your TV should report the signal strength. This is often under the Settings sub-menu. Some TVs will give this information in the Channel Edit option.

If the straight through connection gives a better signal, check your antenna direction and try a different splitter. Amplification will often help; however, when my amplified splitter was damaged the less sensitive tuner lost a number of channels that the other TV received. (Looking at the signal strength, one TV was getting adequate signal with one bar out of 8. The other needed at least 4 bars to process the signal.)

I hope this helps.

How do you add digital channels without a remote for an RCA LCD TV?

have you fitted a set top box?
the set top box is the device that picks up the digital signals and displayes them on your AV selected channel. the channels are changed via this device not the TV

Hi, sounds like the antenna. Maybe get an Aerial company to check it out for you as you might not be picking up a strong enough signal.
